until January 11, 2025

Juicy July jumps in with waxing Moon coming to fullness on July 3, with the Capricorn Full Moon just in time for 4th of July.  

July is quite the transitional month, highlighting the health of our relationships. The Nodes of the moon shift into the signs of Libra (South Node) and Aries (North Node) for a 18 month transit until January 11, 2025. Aries/Libra is the relationships axis in Astrology, with Aries focusing on ME and Libra is the OTHER.  Relationship issues will be stirred up and brought to the surface. Venus been showering her luminescence in Leo, but will retrograde on July 22 -September 3, 2023. Goddess of Love Venus backtracking will frustrate relationship trajectories, forcing reassessment and re-evaluation of who we want to spend time with.  Venus reversal in Leo will interfere with hedonistic plans and pursuits of pleasure. 

On July 10, Mars transits into Virgo, helping us get focused and take action to complete projects and other tasks that need our attention. 

Mercury leaps into Leo on July 11- July 28, joining Venus in the lion’s liar. This will help balance Mars intense work focus, by adding some fun and frolic into the mix.  We will seek out leisure and pleasure with Mercury and Venus in luxurious Leo. 

Cancer New Moon arrives on July 17. This New Moon in Cancer trine Neptune in Pisces, provides a chill time to take a break, nurture yourself, find comfort in the simple things and cherish time with your family and loved ones.  Trust your intuition and instincts.  

The Sun enters Leo and Venus retrogrades in Leo on July 22. Venus is the planet of love, romance, value and money, so this retrograde impacts our relationships or finances, or both.

In this full moon episode of The Cosmic Dispatch special guest Brent Felker serves as show host Cory Nakasue. Brent takes us through the astrology of the week, and the star of this week's astrology (and this week’s episode) is Mercury. Komilla's life's work is about the ancient knowledge of Vedic Astrology. Her goal is to increase the accessibility of this ancient form of astrology and build meaningful bridges between the East and West.

Komilla is the co-Founder and Chairman of the British Association of Vedic Astrology. While residing in England, Komilla was part of the Faculty at the American College of Vedic Astrology and the Council of Astrological Association of Great Britain.

Komilla's Academy of Vedic Sciences teaches a three-year online study program augmented by a new advanced course each year.

Komilla is an author of 7 books on Vedic Astrology: Shodassha Varga - Sixteen Divisional Charts of Vedic Astrology, The Nakshatras - The Stars Beyond the Zodiac, The Essentials of Vedic Astrology, Lunar Nodes - Crisis and Redemption,
Personal Panchanga and the Five Sources of Light, Vedic Love Signs, Indian Astrology.

As of 2013, Komilla began to sponsor annual Vedic Astrology Conferences. These conferences continue to promote a new generation of Jyotish Masters and encourage their interaction with seasoned Masters of Jyotish knowledge.  This year's conference is from January 26-January 29, 2023.  Anyone can sign up.

Ep 46 - Scorpio Season: Witches Roundtable

Cory begins this week’s show by reminding us that we are still in the thick of eclipse season. In this special roundtable edition of The Cosmic Dispatch Cory is joined by three artists and witchcraft practitioners. They touch on the many disciplines, practices, and origins of things like astrological magic, alchemy, and occult practice.

As we do every week, Cory shares this week's astro-weather which includes Mars' station retrograde, conjunctions to the south node, and Venus' opposition to Uranus. The energy of Tuesday’s solar eclipse is still rippling out and will continue to do so this week.  Refer back to episode #37 “It’s ALL Debatable” for more on Mars in Gemini or episode #45 "Eclipse Season Part 1: Solar Eclipse Scorpio" to hear more about the eclipse. 

During the second part of the show Cory meets with three diviners: J.M Hamade, Sasha Ravitch and Eliza (Emerald) Swann. J.M. Hamade is a talismanic artist, diviner, astrologer and writer based in NYC. Sasha Ravitch is a stellar witch, writer, and astrologer based in New Orleans, LA. Eliza (Emerald) Swann is an NYC based artist, educator, and founder of Golden Dome School. Each guest brings a wealth of knowledge to the conversation and contributes to the big question: “What is Magic?”
