No Safe Place: Piggy with Mariana Da Silva

Chelsea is taking the week off to heal from surgery - but Victoria needed her fix anyway. This week's film PIGGY is a feature debut for both the director, Carlota Pereda, and its captivating lead, Lauren Galán.

Everything is In Focus: Parallel Mothers

It's disappointing to think some people will never see Parallel Mothers  because they just won't read subtitles. Penelope Cruz gives a stirring performance, working with long-time collaborator, Pedro Almodóvar.

106: Women on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown (Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios) (1988) and Me, You, and Everyone We Know (2005)

The theme is quirky films. Spanish director Pedro Almodovar's  "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" (1988) was a minor hit and probably minor Almodovar. Miranda July's "You and Me and Everyone We Know" (2005) nailed the quirkiness in a good way. A funny and sometimes sad film about lonely people making connections (or not).

Next up, desperate dudes with "Prince of the City" (1981) and "A Bittersweet Life" (달콤한 인생) (2005).
