New Episode Sunday Night - Friends, Family, and Broken Things

New Episode Sunday Night - Friends, Family, and Broken Things

If you're looking at this post on our site, you can see a broken bowl that's been repaired using gold. It's an example of a Japanese art form called kintsugi. The broken bowl has fractures whose repairs are accentuated, not hidden—and the bowl is more beautiful than ever.

I kept thinking about kintsugi while editing our next episode.

Bridgette and Madison bonded through a tragedy. They become best friends. Then sisters-in-law. When one conceived and the other did not, a series of events led to intense brokenness.

But as the kintsugi bowl above illustrates, there is beauty and healing after brokenness.

The episode drops 6PM CDT (midnight GMT).

    Episode 17: Brian McCollister

    Episode 17: Brian McCollister

Brian McCollister was given two weeks to live when he was just three years old. He beat leukemia, but that victory cost him his fertility. This is his story. "If I had the choice to go back and have my life with or without the cancer, I would choose the cancer, because it's made me who I am today—and I don't know what type of person I would be without that."

Be sure to listen to Episode 6, our interview with Brian's wife, Chipley.

Monday's Episode is Going to Be Huge (Really)

Monday's Episode is Going to Be Huge (Really)

Our next podcast episode, an interview with Brian McCollister, drops Monday morning. Brian was given two weeks to live at age three when he was diagnosed with leukemia. His story of male factor infertility is full of pathos, faith, doubt, anger, grief, and hope. It’s 86 minutes long, and I just can’t make myself edit out anymore. His story is definitely worth your time.
