The head men's basketball coach at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi led the Islanders to the NCAA Tournament in his 1st season of his 1st head coaching opportunity.
Lutz, a San Antonio native, worked his way to Corpus Christi as an assistant coach at Garden City CC, Incarnate Word, SFA, SMU, Creighton, and Purdue prior to accepting the head coaching opportunity at TAMCC.
Lutz's Texas ties run deep including to Texas men's basketball head coach, Chris Beard when they were graduate assistants at Incarnate Word.
In fact, his Man Cave story was about that GA experience and sharing a living space with Beard and the part-time jobs the two had while in San Antonio.
In segment two, Lutz delivered his take on the NBA's final four and his support for name, image, and likeness for college athletes. We debated that and how it will eventually be regulated with some boundaries.
