During the conversation Steve talks about growing up in Brooklyn / Jamaica queens and how something as simple as “streetball” can even the playing field for us and how we interact as humans (and is a sport we both grew up loving and spending hours practicing/playing), starting his career as a photographer in his early twenties with an iPod Touch and Instagram, the motto of “not living to pay your rent”, the importance of his family and their heritage in his work and the meaning (and message) behind it, and his love for people watching and documenting “stories of the day”.
