Top 5 Interviews Countdown - #5 Tim Clark (repost)

Top 5 Interviews Countdown - #5 Tim Clark (repost)

To celebrate the end of our second full year of podcasting we have decided to repost our top 5 listened-to interviews and downloaded episodes we have recorded so far.  This one was from the summer of 2019.  A really interesting story of a small town lad from Durban in South Africa who stumbled into a university scholarship in North Carolina before making his way to the top of the game by winning The Players Championship at Sawgrass.  Tim also finished runner up at The Masters and tells of the time he beat off Tiger in the World Matchplay.  Lots of stories and a great listen.

    Ep 127 - David Livingstone

    Ep 127 - David Livingstone

This is the story of a humble Glasgow lad, who rose from reporting news in the local rag to sitting alongside Jack Nicklaus while presenting the Masters live from Augusta National.

David admits to stumbling into TV and golf after joining Sky Sports in its infancy.  He presented 12 Ryder Cups, umpteen major championships and travelled the world following the best players in the game for over 25 years. He has worked alongside some amazing people including Tony Jacklin and Jack Nicklaus as well as interviewing everyone from Arnold Palmer to Rory McIlroy. He talked about his relationships with Seve and Tiger Woods and tells some great stories of his best pal, Butch Harmon. He gave an insight into what is involved in broadcasting a golf tournament and how things have changed over the years. In a very honest chat, David also talks about his thoughts on Augusta, Earl Woods and even the BBC.

Unassuming, professional, great fun but most of all a gentleman.
