The Norwegian signed for the Blades in January of 1997, netting a total of 23 times for United in a stint that only lasted until January of 2018 where he left on the so called ‘Black Thursday’ when both Fjortoft and Brian Deane left the club. 

The tenacious striker earned somewhat of a cult status among Sheffield United fans due to his unique personality, iconic celebration and goalscoring prowess. Jan discusses his time at Sheffield United, going through the good and bad of his spell at Bramall Lane.

Next up on the Inside United podcast is former Sheffield United stalwart, Nick Montgomery.

Monty made his debut for the Blades at the age of 18 in October 2000 and the Leeds born CM would go on to make almost 400 appearances in a 12 year spell for United.

The tenacious centre midfielder experienced the highs and lows of football while at Bramall Lane and during the podcast he goes into depth on promotions, relegations, his time as a trainee and his move to Australia.

Morgan, now 42, joined the Blades on free transfer from Barnsley in 2003 and made his debut in a 0-0 stalemate against Gillingham at Bramall Lane. Morgan was voted United's Player of the Year for 2004 and was also made captain that Summer due to Rob Page's departure. The former United No.5 delves into a plethora stories from his United days in what is a must listen for any Blades fan.
