This week I have chef Sunny Soto-Brisco. With her wife, they started Sunny Street Outreach to cook and serve restaurant quality meals to the houseless and underserved communities in Oceanside, CA. They're currently working on fundraising for a mobile cafe trailer which, once open, will serve the Oceanside community with coffee and breakfast on the go. YOU CAN DONATE HERE

Folks Friends, Fam, Revolutionaries, and ya initiates,

Humanities tells us we don’t get second chances. That the disposition, station, places we can venture in only afford us; one opportunity in life. So often we feel anxious we may miss an opportunity, or that something may have slid through our fingers. We struggle to find how we lose the connections we value. After some time we got to sit back down Sonny long long after we were supposed to sit down and hold a conversation.

Getting beyond the labels that keep us separate we found means to discuss generational trauma, roots so deep your ancestors named the land, finding ways to keep community first and as a root to who we are, and so many more topics in life. We ask you to join us, in getting a second chance to make that human connection with a sol so bright in magnificence; we get reminded of it everyday when waking to its rays. 

What does it mean to be a part of the community in so many ways and feel like you are never seen. What does it mean to be community or genuine, or? Not everything in California glitters like gold, but the people do.
