    COMS Security For Everybody™

Organizations have more channels to communicate with the world than ever before, but with flexibility comes increased security exposure for vital, mission critical communications. In this episode we’re joined by Joe Ruiz from WITCOM an innovator in the field of secure communications for military and commercial customers.  We’ll be talking about how to protect IP, executive communications, and generally keep your organization’s voice active -- and secure.

Joe Ruiz brings a truly unique perspective to the field of communications security. As a former Presidential Communications Officer, Presidential Response Officer, and primary Communicator aboard Air Force One, Joe supported Presidents Bush and Obama. The Sage Sayers: How Does the Language of Data Transcend all Challenges (and Boundaries)?

The Sage Sayers: How Does the Language of Data Transcend all Challenges (and Boundaries)?

My guest this week is Colby McCullough, a supply chain expert with a combined 24 years of experience in the aerospace and consumer goods industries.  He grew up in New Orleans and holds a BS in Structural Engineering and an MBA in Operations Research from Carnegie Mellon.

Colby now directs the supply chain analytics at a large, Mid West consumer goods company where he and his team develop analytical tools and reporting to ensure the supply chain runs most efficiently (a great thing, especially within these disruptive, singular times). Clear, succinct, and compelling communications, a craft we can all continue to refine, becomes essential, he says.

How do I know Colby? Because he’s my dear husband and at his side, I’ve seen his career flourish (and him learning and thriving) from the challenges before him--a true Sage response.

Supply Chain Resilience Holds Key to Recovery

Supply Chain Resilience Holds Key to Recovery

Global Supply Chains…a term that was considered niche and specific to an industry is now ubiquitous. Over the past one year, as the pandemic touched every corner of the world, everyone started to understand the importance of a seamless, connected, quick and transparent supply chain.

Hundreds of thousands of containers are on the move as we speak from around the world with essential medical supplies, food produce, relief material and several other goods to be delivered right at our doorstep

Dubai based logistics leader and global trade enabler, DP World is playing a major role in advancing global commerce with its 150 operations around the world and a massive team of over 50,000. In 2020, DP World delivered a capacity of more than 100 million TEU (Twenty-foot equivalent unit) in line with market demand.

This mammoth 24/7 supply chain operation is at the heart of helping local and global economies stay resilient. But what is at the heart of this complex and global operation? What are some of the digital technologies behind this operation, and their role in ensuring a truly connected supply chain?

To help us understand the impact of these technologies, we have with us Mike Bhaskaran, the Chief Operating Officer at DP World and joining him is Rahul Misra, Vice President, Business Applications for the Lower Gulf region at Oracle.
