TPM Episode 371: Mark Mackay, From Ski Rep to Country Music Star

Mark Mackay is a country music star in the making, but his background as a ski rep makes him the perfect new business episode. His road to Nashville included stints with Rossignol, Dynastar, and Atomic, all by the time he was 20. He was the head sales rep in California when Atomic started exploding, he had a dream job, he was young, and he left it all for the lucrative world of medical sales. Soon after, he had a life-changing epiphany on a paddleboard and, within an hour, quit his job, broke his lease, and went all in on being a country music star, and so far, it’s been working.

TPM Episode 303: Connery Lundin, Pro Skier

Connery Lundin’s ski career should be as prolific as he’s manufactured it to be. This is a kid from Oakland who was so burnt out on ski racing that he decided at 18 that he would never ski. That all changed with the right roommates, who got Connery back into skiing on his terms…and once Connery fell back in love with the sport, he went all in on becoming a pro skier. But, to make things harder for himself, he didn’t do much to promote himself off snow…. but that didn’t matter, and it all worked out. Connery graduated to his day job of filming with Warren Miller and MSP, and we talk about it all….

#26 Beating Yourself Up? Four Ways to Feel Better NOW
If you are beating yourself up for a mistake, this will help you feel so much better! Mistakes aren't bad! If you’ve had a mess up or a failure too… this is how to reframe that experience into the best thing that ever happened to you.

This is a very special episode! My plan was to record the entire thing while "Getting My Brave On" and biking around Lake Tahoe. BUT! I arrived in Tahoe without my suitcase and the only pair of shoes I had were the platform wedges I was wearing. I was beating myself up.

THIS is what I learned and how I got through!

    In this episode:

    4 WAYS TO FEEL BETTER.

    1. What’s missing and what is there
    2. Push Yourself… set a goal… that you have no clue to reach.
    3. Understand Failure is Not Bad
    4. Shut the Mouths of the Lion with special prayer

I Might Fake My Own Death w/ Bryan Danielson

I Might Fake My Own Death w/ Bryan Danielson

It's a triple-threat match on the mic this week on the Bellas Podcast!

The Bellas are together again in Tahoe, and Nikki kicks off the episode next Brie...but will they last the whole show together?

The whole Bellas Family has loved the time together in the great outdoors with adventures that include hikes, swimming, and nature photography excursions. Buddy has been on the hunt for snacks, Birdie's loved giving directions to all the adults, and Matteo has been throwing as many rocks in the lake as possible.

Nikki & Brie came to the realization that they are in a much different phase of life now because of the visceral reactions to watching people do shots at the beach and candid disappointment with the latest crop of suits that the swimwear industry popularized for moms. When it comes to life on the beach in bathing suits, they're looking for the MILF cut.

Nikki has been worn out after an intense weekend with Matteo. He caught a stomach bug, and she's been Nurse Nikki for the past few days as she does everything she can to help a struggling Matteo feel better. With rocket-powered vomit happening in the house, Brie's washing machine has been operating at max capacity the entire time.

Nikki has to tap out, but the Bellas Podcast welcomes Brie's husband, Bryan Danielson, for a new game: Bellas Choice. A game that leads to some startling revelations. Could Bryan really fake his own death? And why wouldn't he tell Brie if he did it? This is a game you won't want to miss.

The episode closes out with Bryan telling Brie his choice for this week's Inspiration & Affirmation and what function it plays in his role as a father and husband in the Danielson Family.

    Follow Bryan on Instagram.

Dave Amirault, aka “Digi Dave” was a visionary in the ski industry at a time the industry really needed it. On the podcast, we stay away from a lot of the nerd stuff Dave is known for and ask the question, did “coming out” force him out of his most successful position in skiing?
