Episode 34 - May The Best Man Win (Road To Avonlea S2E6)
Finally! A Jasper Dale episode! After being absent for too many episodes, Jasper returns in a BIG way! Seriously, any time he appears on the screen, it's almost a guaranteed smile. His character is seriously one of the best parts of this show!

Episode 23 - Nothing Endures But Change (Road To Avonlea S1E13)
And we have arrived at the Season 1 Finale and we brought along a guest with us! It's Mr. Greg Klein, Dave's other co-host. He joins us this time around to discuss the Finale, and we have a rollicking good time discussing the return of Sara's father, the incessant bickering and general horrifying nature of Hetty, as well as Sara's unfortunate fall.

Episode 22 - The Blue Chest Of Arabella King (Road To Avonlea S1E12)
Dear sweet Olivia King. Always subdued by your terrible, horrible sister Hetty. Well, no more! In this episode, we see Olivia rightfully put Hetty in her place, all the while establishing a lovely relationship with Avonlea's own Jasper Dale. A fun episode that truly shines because of the likability of the two main protagonists!

    Episode 20 - Felicity's Challenge (Road to Avonlea S1E10)
You guys, a really fun thing happened with the recording of this episode. Our new friends from California, The Vecchio's, whom we met through our respective podcasts and had the most fun collaboration tonight. Sometimes being brave and meeting people on the internet will get you murdered - but sometimes you make great friends and are so grateful for the fun adventures God takes us on. We had a phenomenal time talking about the episode, as well as hearing about their experience at Prince Edward Island!

Episode 19 - Conversions (Road to Avonlea S1E9)

Episode 19 - Conversions (Road to Avonlea S1E9)
Peg Bowen. Need we say more? The single most interesting character in this episode is given no more than a few minutes on screen. But, as we learn in this episode, Peg is the only one with more integrity and honesty in her bones than any of the monsters we see throughout here.

Episode 18 - Malcolm And The Baby (Road to Avonlea S1E8)

Episode 18 - Malcolm And The Baby (Road to Avonlea S1E8)
In a semi continuation of Aunt Abigail's Beau, a baby is literally kidnapped off the back of a carriage by Sara and Felicity and left on the doorstep of Abigail and Malcolm. Shenanigans ensue, Rachel and Hetty fight even more due to a 40 year grudge, and all is set right in the world. Because Avonlea....

Episode 17 - Aunt Abigail's Beau (Road to Avonlea S1E7)

Episode 17 - Aunt Abigail's Beau (Road to Avonlea S1E7)
In this episode, Aunt Abigail's old flame, Malcolm MacEwan, reappears after years away in the Yukon. He's really rich now, and wants to rekindle his romance that he once had with Abigail. Abigail wants to live her life of spinsterhood, but blah blah blah, you know what's going to happen. This was a fun episode and it was nice to Rosemary Dunsmore playing against type as Aunt Abigail, a far cry from the cold Katherine Brooke.

Episode 16 - Proof Of The Pudding (Road to Avonlea S1E6)

Episode 16 - Proof Of The Pudding (Road to Avonlea S1E6)
Now this is what Avonlea is all about! Keeping the focus of the series on the residents of Avonlea. Taking away the fact that Alec and Janet, and later Hetty leave 5 children alone for 2 days, this is a great episode that shows all the kids in their element. And it's a nice bit of character development for Felicity, who proves to be less of a jerk than she comes off throughout the episode.

Episode 15 - Old Lady Lloyd (Road to Avonlea S1E5)

Episode 15 - Old Lady Lloyd (Road to Avonlea S1E5)
Why? Why does this episode exist? Sandwiched right in between two significantly better episodes, Old Lady Lloyd should have stayed in the writer's room and had a few more run throughs with the writers. There were a few bright spots in the episode, but ultimately not enough to warrant a good review from us. Such a drastic shift in tone too as this episode was way too dark. But we had fun with it, so we got that going for us which is nice.

Episode 11 - The Journey Begins (Road To Avonlea S1E1)

Episode 11 - The Journey Begins (Road To Avonlea S1E1)
In the first episode of Road To Avonlea, we are introduced to Sara Stanley, who is shipped off to Avonlea to live with her aunt, uncle, and cousins after Sara's father is caught up in an embezzlement scandal. It's an episode that proves that even extreme exhaustion can't stop us from talking about it!
