Prompt Smart a Teleprompter For Your Phone

PromptSmart teleprompter apps are unique because they include a patented VoiceTracktm method of scrolling the text. VoiceTracktm uses speech recognition to scroll as you speak and pause when you pause -- without the need for an internet connection -- helping to reduce anxiety associated with public speaking and with video production. The natural flow of the text reduces the time needed to get a usable take during a video shoot, particularly with amateur talent.

Remembering 9/11, Voter Registration Surge, Mueller Team Malfeasance, Teleprompter Tantrum
Join Jim and Greg for a special 9/11 anniversary edition of the podcast. They both share their indelible memories of that horrific day and why it is vital for us to remember the evil perpetrated against us and how the very best of America rose to the occasion. Then they dive into the three martinis of the day, starting with a GOP voter registration surge in Pennsylvania. They also fume as 31 phones connected to the Mueller special counsel team were wiped clean before the Justice Department could examine them. And they react to the Biden campaign spokesman who was outraged that he would be asked if Joe Biden uses a teleprompter during interviews and other events - but never answered the question.

    Teleprompter: Go or no go?

    Teleprompter: Go or no go?
TELEPROMPTER: GO OR NO GO? ⁣⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
⁣Hi everyone! It’s been a week (or weeks?) since I posted something, because I’ve been busy working on my other social media platforms. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣⁣
I’m a big believer of getting yourself out there, as much as you can, in order to grow your audience - and therefore; later on your customers too. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣⁣
So as some of you know, then I’ve been super focused on my Instagram, then later on my podcast and now - I’m currently working on my YouTube channel. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣⁣
In a few weeks I’ll be able to continue my focus back (in a balanced way!) on all of my different social media platforms at the same time, instead of only working on reaaaallyy building ONE platform at the time. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣⁣
So! I have a few thoughts on the ‘teleprompter’ theme as you can tell from my picture. ⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
I’ve tried a few, and also bought one - I’ve watched many YouTube videos about the BEST ones and downloaded and bought the best one - BUT! Don’t do that. No matter how great you are, then my opinion is that it’s not worth the effort on trying to become great at it. ⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
Because! ⁣Your audience will be able to tell, that you’re using a teleprompter. Your eyes will be reading (if you know what I mean) EVEN if the text is placed millimetres from the camera lens. Or even on top of it. You can also tell from the way you present your script, it will sound like you’re reading - and your audience won’t connect with it. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣⁣
Instead, try to see if you can memorize your script instead! I have made a post and a YouTube video about - how you can do that in a great way.⁣⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣⁣
Enjoy and good luck on your journey of producing amazing content. xx J⁣⁣

    How to: Memories a script

    How to: Memories a script
    Hi guys! ⁣
    ⁣
Today I thought I wanted to share some tips on how to remember a script before presenting it. ⁣
    ⁣
Whether you work as a television presenter, YouTuber, or you run online courses (or something completely else) then this will be useful for you. ⁣
    ⁣
A few years ago when I used to work as a television presenter, then we didn’t have any teleprompter in the studio, so I always had to remember the script in my head. And let me tell you this: it was a daily show, and it was all about presenting the latest international and national gossip news, so I never had more than 5-10 minutes to practise. ⁣
    ⁣
So here’s what I learned, I hope it will benefit you and your dream, whatever it may be: ⁣
    ⁣
    1. Just remember one sentence at the time, and make all the effort in the way you present it (voice and body language)⁣
    ⁣
    2. Just cut - it doesn’t have to be a one take, no one is super humans and no one can remember a full script in their head ⁣
    ⁣
    3. You can also try to remember the top tree most important points to make and then freestyle your way through your recording - but: there’s something very exact and professional about being very detail oriented and strict in the way you present something, and therefore I’ll recommend you to do number 1 tip until you have enough experience to do number 3 tip in a professional way. ⁣
    ⁣
I know this for sure helped me a lot, and it also helped me relax about not having to do the whole thing perfect. ⁣
    ⁣
Once you cut during a recording, then there’s room for making mistakes and having fun too. And that’s important. ⁣
    ⁣
Don’t be so hard on yourself, the most important thing is: get started and do your very best. Until you know better, then do better. xx J⁣

35: How to Feel Like a Natural In Front of the Camera

35: How to Feel Like a Natural In Front of the Camera

No matter your profession, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to be on camera (whether you welcome the idea or not). But like speaking in front of a crowd, not everyone is a natural at it.

You worry about looking frumpy, saying the wrong thing, sweating through your suit jacket or stuttering through your remarks. These are all common concerns, but with some practice and the tips on this episode of the Confident Communications Podcast, you’ll be a natural.

I’m sharing how to deal with on-camera distractions, feeling more comfortable, being yourself, preparedness (and the risks of being over-prepared), body language and even how to stand properly. By the end, you’ll have all the information you need to put into practice when you do find yourself on camera. Because let’s face it, you know you will!

    36 - GLENN CAMPBELL: I'LL BE ME w Wimps

    36 - GLENN CAMPBELL: I'LL BE ME w Wimps

Paco and George are joined by Seattle band Wimps to discuss the 2014 Glenn Campbell documentary, I'll Be Me by James Keach. Matt, Rachel, and Dave were moved for personal and professional reasons by the story of the final tour of country star Glenn Campbell, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2011. We talk about speech pathology, touring history, family, 7 stages of Alzheimer's, and memory strategies. The Washington Post's Ann Hornaday wrote that " 'I’ll Be Me' is an elevating experience, inviting the audience to bear witness to Campbell’s courage, humor and spiritual strength. His story may make for a tough movie, but it’s an important and triumphant one, as well." Seattle's Wimps is a three-piece comprised of scene veterans Rachel Ratner (Butts) on guitar and lead vocals, Matt Nyce (Meth Teeth) on bass and backing vocals, and Dave Ramm (The Intelligence) on drums. Wimps serve their own brand of rapid-fire punk with a smattering of lo-fi post punk guitar work to create an angular, slightly off-kilter blast. Ratner lyrically twists otherwise common day-to-day woes into relatable tales of struggle shout-sung call and response stabs that champion boredom, laziness and social anxieties with wiry riffs and punchy bass lines, propelled by the measured rhythms of drummer David Ramm. In 2015 they partnered with Kill Rock Stars and released a cassette and their sophomore album ‘Suitcase’ to praise from places like Noisey, Nerdist, AV Club, Exclaim, Norman Records, the Stranger, and more. http://www.killrockstars.com/artists/wimps **Sup Doc has created a Patreon page for those that can help out.
