    The Brood: Birthing Rage

    The Brood: Birthing Rage

Caitlin is joined by Joe to talk about the Cronenberg classic The Brood. We dig into themes of monstrous motherhood, intergenerational trauma, and good old fashioned body horror. We've got mothers birthing all kinds of monsters here, and it makes for great conversation. Be sure to check out mine and Joe's project (Films at First Sight), as well as the one he's working on with Jody (No Film Left Behind).

    Episode 151 - Last Night in Soho / The Brood (1979) / Chucky season 1, episodes 2&3

Christian and Ian are literally being murdered by nostalgia.

We start off with another CHUCKY Check-in to discuss the latest episodes of the murderous doll show. Then we review Edgar Wright's return to horror for the time hopping LAST NIGHT IN SOHO. Finaly, our Movie from the Crypt is for an early Cronenberg, killer kids movie, THE BROOD. We also discuss black box theater, parties where everyone wears headphones, and rent deposits.

We'd love to hear your thoughts, questions, or any requests you have. You can contact us at: ItsOnlyFeedback@gmail.com and on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Letterboxd.

    10. The Brood (1979)

    10. The Brood (1979)
