The Possessed, or Demons, is a novel written by the Russian writer Dostoevsky and it was first published in 1871. It’s a story concerned with the catastrophic consequences of the political and moral nihilism that were becoming more prevalent in Russia in the 1860s.
Well, WoHos and TwoHos!!
We had a real schism on this one! To date we have not disagreed so much on a film!
Content note: Our discussions in Mom and Mac chat and in the podcast proper involve the following topics: getting thrown under the bus at work, putting together bedroom furniture alone, a skin rash, our favorite films from June, terrible French pronunciation, abusive partners, queer-baiting, conspiracy, the pre-cursor to Columbo, ghosts, overusing motifs and generally treating your audience like dunces and how very much the Queen Kathy Bates can save a disaster of a film.
Next week on the Quinnisode, Quinn and I will discuss a few of our favorite "Perfect Crime" flicks: A SIMPLE PLAN, AMERICAN ANIMALS, THE KILLING (1956) & THE TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE.
We love you!
