The Moon (Lies, deceit and asking questions)

The Moon (Lies, deceit and asking questions)

This episode is not so much about finding answers as it is about asking questions. It’s about looking at the world through fresh eyes, with an open mind, and without our pre-programmed notions and beliefs.

With that being said I want to give a little warning because this episode could be considered a black-belt level conversation...

We live in a fascinating realm and if you take a moment every now and then to look at the world through fresh eyes with the curiosity and wonderment of a child you will be amazed at what you actually see. If you do this you discover that the world is much bigger, more fascinating, and way more magical then you have been told. Likewise, you will also discover that there is also a dark-side. The problem is most of us are so caught up in the day-to-day activities of the rat race that we have lost our sense of awe, and our ability to think critically, or discern truth.

    The Third Foot: Moon Landings

With India landing its Chandrayaan-3 on the moon's south pole, the sun's understudy is back in the public eye after far too long. Ben and Barry welcome the little rock's return with an exploration of past moon landings. Tales include Diogenes' ideas of an early moon mission, what songs harmonise with the moon and what to find in "The Toss Zone".

The Moon Landing is the best thing ever | BTE 1.26

In 1969 two men walked on the surface of the moon (and their friend waited in the car). It was without a doubt the greatest publicity stunt of all time. But even more than that, it was the only time everybody in the world watched TV at the same time because of good news. Plus we talk about why Michael Collins was a national treasure and guess how much shit we left on the moon.

Episode 4595: Dark Enigma - Is The Moon Real – The Hollow Moon Theory

Episode 4595: Dark Enigma - Is The Moon Real – The Hollow Moon Theory

Please be aware the stories, theories, re-enactments and language in this podcast are of an adult nature and can be considered disturbing, frightening and in some cases even offensive.  Listener Discretion is therefore advised.

Welcome heathens welcome to the world of the weird and unexplained.  I’m your host, Nicole Delacroix and together, we will be investigating stories about the things that go bump in the night, frighteningly imagined creatures, supernatural beings and even some unsolved mysteries and all sorts of weirdness.  So, sit back, grab your favorite drink, and prepare to be transported to today's dark Enigma....

And on today’s Dark enigma well, it’s a new year and a new listener suggestion!  So, with that said, we will still be playing our drinking game and as you know, the drinking game is only for those of us that are at home and have nowhere else to go tonight.  The choice of libation, as always my darlings, is yours, so choose your poison accordingly… Alright, now for the game part how about every time I say Earth that will be a single shot and every time I say Lunar, that will be a double shot.  Now that the business end is out of the way we can jump headfirst into today’s dark enigma… so don… your best space suit as we dive deep into today’s offering of Is The Moon Real – The Hollow Moon Theory?

Have you ever considered the moon may not be exactly what it seems to be? Science tells us the moon was a result of the Earth colliding with another planet, causing a rocky mass to break free from the earth and be pulled into orbit by the force of gravity. But conspiracy theorists have considered the possibility the moon may be something more than just a rocky mass orbiting the earth. There’s this fascinating theory floating about that our moon is actually hollow, obviously called the Hollow Moon Theory. This theory tries to prove that the moon may just be a cover or a protective layer around an alien’s UFO. So which is right? That’s what we’ll be exploring in today’s episode, so let’s jump right on in.

BLOG: My Why: Meet my friend, the Moon

This week I'm introducing you to a friend of mine - the Moon.

Welcome to another My Why from Claire Sandys (co-host of The Silent Why podcast). My Why episodes are weekly audio shorts of my latest blog post. If you'd prefer to read it, you can find it here: thesilentwhy.com/post/themoon

Yes, my friend might be a little distant at times, comes and goes a bit, and balloons and shrinks down in size monthly, but I'm going to share with you why I believe he's a great example for me, and you, when we're struggling.

'The Apollo Murders' with Chris Hadfield

'The Apollo Murders' with Chris Hadfield

CERBA is hosting an exceptional guest on this episode of IceBreakers: a heavily decorated astronaut, engineer, and pilot - Colonel Chris Hadfield. Chris is an astounding pioneer of many historic "firsts": the first astronaut to operate Canadarm in space, the first Canadian to board and pilot a Russian "Soyuz" spacecraft, the first and only Canadian ever to command an International  Space Station (so far).

Chris is sharing his stories about living, working and playing music in space, his life in Russia and being an influencer. He is also talking about his new book, "The Apollo Murders" - an exceptional Cold War thriller from the dark heart of the Space Race, described as "Nail-biting" by James Cameron, another Canadian star, the writer and director of Avatar and Titanic.

    30. Shoot for the Moon (or Nah?)

    30. Shoot for the Moon (or Nah?)

Goals. Those without them are simply surviving, taking whatever life dishes out to them.  Setting goals give our life a sense of purpose and accomplishment. Typically our goals line up with our dreams, interests and talents, but how far and high should we set them?
Should we shoot for the moon or play it more safe and practical?

That's we we will discuss in this episode.

    12. Astronaut Jerry M. Linenger

    12. Astronaut Jerry M. Linenger
Jerry M. Linenger is a former NASA astronaut who flew on the Space Shuttle and Space Station Mir and a retired Captain in the United States Navy Medical Corps. In 1997 he spent 132 days, 4 hours and 1 minute in space. This was at the time the longest duration flight of an American male. While aboard Mir, he faced many harrowing circumstances including the most severe fire ever aboard an orbiting spacecraft, a near collision with a resupply cargo ship and a failure of Mir's onboard oxygen generator. I'm a huge fan of space travel and I could have talked to Captain Linenger for hours about his experience as one of the only 536 people who have ever rocketed into the cosmos. Instead, we sat in silence for 25 minutes. Captain Linenger used that time to read a book and clean out his rain gutter while I flipped through book one of The Walking Dead.
