Series 3, Episode 1: Rosemary and Thyme: The Pilot 2.0

Rosemary And Thyme is a Podcast Musical in 16 episodes. It’s a modern-day Christmas Nativity Story. God takes a look at today’s world and really does not like what he sees. So, He decides to send his ol’ trusty Angel, Gabriel, on a mission.  Our Miracle Tale takes place in the back-country of Skedee, Oklahoma – population 139 – about a back-country girl, soon to be a woman, named Thyme Quinn. And she’s soon to be the wife of the town’s only preacher man, the Reverend Josiah Washburn.

Ep 35 - Theater Of The Mind Vs Visual Aids

This week we fall down the rabbit hole discussing the advantages of honing your skills using theater of the mind, and how it compares against using tactical maps, minis, and other player aids. We also do some follow-up on last week's episode on GM burnout and cover recent TTRPG news  ||  Steve's Article On 3D Printing PPE:  https://romesentinel.com/stories/local-volunteers-join-covid-19-fight,95525  ||  3D Printed Website For 3D Printed PPE: https://rist3d.org  ||  Twitter: @passive_podcast  ||  Email: passiveaggropod@protonmail.com

    School's Out

    School's Out

I zoomed with the University of Florida GHQ radio staff at their final 'All In' meeting of the semester. We chat about all things radio. It's very much an inside or behind-the-scenes look and listen as to what we do ... or try to do. Thanks to Glenn Richards and Rob Harder for making it happen.

If you haven't already, please subscribe to this podcast! Thanks.

    Hey Baby!

    Hey Baby!

You've been waiting for another episode? #MeToo  Aw, don't be #scerred.
You've seen the news reports. You've maybe heard the segments on anything from Full Frontal to the Daily Show to  CBS Sunday Morning. Everyone is talking about sexual harassment, whether in the workplace or out in the streets. I touch on some of the harassment stories I, or some of my colleagues, have experienced in radio.
I don't name anyone because they are not all solely my stories. Do you really want to know who walked up and sniffed a female DJ's hair? Would it matter to you now? This 'cast is more just a way to let you know that this stuff happens, and it happens all the time. We deal with it all the time. And we keep on keeping' on.

    Whatever Tomorrow Brings

    Whatever Tomorrow Brings

Valentine's Weekend. The first half of the podcast is a highlight of my career and the second half revisits one of the darkest days.

I share an interview with a band that was right at the beginning of their ascent into superstardom. The singer's birthday also happens to be February 15th. It is also the 3rd Anniversary of a tragic event that has a deep connection to me, and all of South Florida.

Please be sure to subscribe! Thanks.

Episode 20, Can We Be Thankful in 2020?

Episode 20, Can We Be Thankful in 2020?

Even with 2020 being a crazy year I encourage you to look into your life closer. I think if you look close enough you will find something to be thankful for. Listen in and you can hear some of the things I'm thankful for and maybe this will help you when you make up your list of items to be thankful for.

Something I mention is Dr Maxwell Maltz's Theatre of the Mind by Matt Furey. You can check out the Audible program by clicking here

Send me some things on your thankful list! I want to hear from you, email me at Jared@jvdshow.com.

Tactical Play VS Non Tactical Play

Tactical Play VS Non Tactical Play

In today's episode we talk about tactical play vs non tactical play.  How do I do more tactical play in my game?  What are the benefits to a more tactical game?  When should I scale back the tactics?  Do I need tactical play at all?  We answer all these questions and more in today's episode.

    I Would Swallow My Pride

    I Would Swallow My Pride

I visit some embarrassing moments from my career in Episode 4 'Ain't Got No Regrets'. I've since thought of a few more and share them in this episode. When you're doing live radio, in real-time, there's not much you can do when something goes wrong. In the case of the interview I talk about in this episode, it wasn't live but was funny enough to air, warts and all.

Gonna Use My, My, My, Imagination

Gonna Use My, My, My, Imagination

One of the best things about radio is the theater of the mind aspect. I'm joined by my favorite collaborator, Dave Corey, to talk about how creativity is integral to radio. You'll hear various audio bits that may or may not have actually happened, but therein lies the power of the aural medium. As always the video version can be found at YouTube.com/HerKimba.
