It's time for the 12th episode of our trip through SNME 1989 and it's gonna be a fun ride. We are continuing our drive into the catalog of SATURDAY NIGHT'S MAIN EVENT & this amazing relationship between NBC/WWF as we make another stop in the DELOREAN. Episode 12 of Season 5 is this upcoming Friday and as per usual ACEFIELD RETRO returns with MIKE BELCASTER to chat about an retro filled happening! We continue our journey to take a close look upon SATURDAY NIGHT'S MAIN EVENT XXIII (OCTOBER 14, 1989) from Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio the main event by Hulk Hogan vs. Ted DiBiase (w/Zeus) for WWF Championship & We finish out trip at SATURDAY NIGHT'S MAIN EVENT XXIV (NOVEMBER 25, 1989) from the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka, KS main event by The Rockers (Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty) vs The Brain Busters (Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard) (w/ Bobby Heenan) in a Two out of three falls match and the GENIUS taking on HULK HOGAN in a classic tilt. This of course ends with Curt Hennig stealing the WWF title and smashing it with a hammer! We chat about all the usual WWF happenings like titles changes, new debuts and just the importance of this working relationship with NBC & WWF. The celebrities & goofy presentation are attempting to bring in the casual fans and tying in popular culture with some of the biggest names in WWF history.
