Ep.29: 2024 - The Year of Satanic Solidarity and Action

In this episode of Satanists Nextdoor, Tommy and Lilin tackle 2024, a year that's shaping up to be a focus on the battleground against theocracy. This episode is more than just a discussion; it's a rallying cry for Satanists and allies to come together, to be politically active, and to shape a future that honors autonomy and diversity. It's a reminder that in the face of adversity, the Satanic community stands united, ready to face the challenges of 2024 head-on. Hail Satan!

Episode 39: David Bahnsen: California hikes minimum wages, and does the Bible apply to government?

Fast food restaurants in California announced that they would start increasing prices after lawmakers in the state hiked the minimum wage for the industry. What will be the final straw for large and small businesses alike dealing with the overbearing California government?

David Bahnsen, a widely respected portfolio manager who happens to be a staunch conservative and Christian, joins Zach and Dennis to discuss how Christians should engage the public square with their faith. Tune in to learn how Christianity applies to lawmaking, the economy, and much more in the final installment of our three-part series on the question: What is the law of liberty, and how have Americans applied and failed to apply it?

Episode 38: Dr James White: House Speaker says “God,” leftists lose it. Does the Bible apply to gov?

Congressman Mike Johnson of Louisiana, the newly-minted Speaker of the House, acknowledged God in his first speech.  The same left-leaning congressmen who lauded Biden for lighting up the White House during “Pride Month'' responded by condemning “theocracy.”  Is this inconsistent, perhaps even hypocritical?

Dr. James White of Alpha & Omega Ministries and Apologia Church joins Zach and Dennis for a deep dive into Part Two of a three-part series on how and whether the Bible should apply to civil government. Should Christians require politicians to follow the Word of God? Should it shape our laws? What is the law of liberty, and how have Americans applied and failed to apply it?

    Israel in Crisis

    Israel in Crisis

For months, hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens have taken to the streets to protest government plans to overhaul the judiciary—including plans that would vitiate checks on executive power, allow a simple majority of 61 in the 120-seat Knesset to override almost any ruling by Israel’s Supreme Court, and permit politicians to appoint most of the Court’s justices. Both the protests and proposed reforms take place against the backdrop of significant demographic changes which, in turn, have enhanced the power and parliamentary representation of Israel’s religious parties. Given the Knesset’s current makeup therefore, the reforms will—at least indirectly—grant the religious parties extensive influence over Israeli society.

In this episode, Middlebury College political geographer and Professor of Geosciences Tamar Mayer explains why these plans for judicial reform have pitted the government against many of its citizens, what is at stake in this crisis, and why the roots of this crisis stretch far back into Israel’s past.

In the long history of Sudar, there is perhaps no more overt example of the presence of gods than the Okraiot Shaval, the realms of the leyline spires and the seats of power for the Regents. What kind of impact did this have on the people? Their view of gods and royalty?

THE LARGE SOUL OF BARBARA WALTERS 1.2.23

THE LARGE SOUL OF BARBARA WALTERS 1.2.23

EPISODE 103: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN

A-Block (1:55) BARBARA WALTERS: IN MEMORIAM. Since her death Friday, there has been one story after another about Barbara Walters the groundbreaker and Barbara Walters the feminist and Barbara Walters the interviewer and Barbara Walters the role model and each of these accolades is more than justified. But I'm not seeing enough about Barbara Walters, the person with a large soul who survived as huge a disaster as ever befell the career of anybody in television, who fought her way back from punchline to immortal, and who thanked everybody who protected her, and tried to protect everybody - women and men alike - who might be facing any of the attacks she fought off in the years following 1976. As she wrote me once: "I'm not as tough as I pretend to be and the support means the world to me. I cannot thank you enough."

B-Block (16:40) SPECIAL COMMENT: Chief Justice Roberts reinforced his reputation as the human embodiment of the "This Is Fine" dog in the burning room meme. Did his year end message on the judiciary for New Year's 2023 address Samuel Alito's insults towards this country? The revelation that he discussed Hobby Lobby with one of the theocrats before ruling? The madness of Ginni Thomas trying to overthrow the government? The Court throwing away its remaining credibility? No. He knows who the real victims here: The Justices.

C-Block (26:15) SPECIAL COMMENT: Roberts, of course, is nothing compared to Sam Alito. Where is Alito's reply to The New York Times report about his leak to Hobby Lobby? Where is the Court's reply to the Judiciary Committees of the House and Senate demanding answers about it? Alito is a clear and present danger to this country.

Christian Nationalism Through the Lens of Albert Mohler

Christian Nationalism Through the Lens of Albert Mohler

The subject of Christian Nationalism (What is Christian Nationalism and is it Biblical) has surfaced in some of my recent articles, on its own and as a stepping stone toward the belief we are headed toward a Christian Theocracy (Christofascist Dominionist Theocracy). More interesting than my words have been the comments from others on Medium

Reading an article this morning from Albert Mohler, a renowned evangelical theologian and former president of the Southern Baptist Seminary in Kentucky, he expresses my opinion more clearly and succinctly than I have.  In his, “The Briefing”, Mohler offers his own response to a reader asking the question,.

Christian Nationalism - Theocracy vs. Secular rule

Christian Nationalism - Theocracy vs. Secular rule

Earlier this month I wrote a brief article breaking down the words “Christian” and “Nationalism”, attempting to more clearly define what the concept SHOULD mean, based on its individual components. My point was more to demonstrate how concepts get twisted in this present age of divisiveness. As readers responded, it forced me to more clearly think through the concerns progressives have regarding their gaslighting; believing Christians could successfully turn America into a theocracy (a government ruled by religious authority). One of the most extreme comments expressing this viewpoint was from a writer (whom I responded to in a post), referring to my views as “Christofascist Dominionist Theocracy”.

As Christians, we may be understandably sensitive to the implications of terms such as Christian Nationalism or those who erroneously suggest we have the power to establish a Christian Theocracy. However, the vacuum created by excluding those Christians willing to step up in government leadership could only be described as a country experiencing...

BONUS EPISODE: Farewell to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with Martyn Whittock (S3E62)

Ken welcomes back historian and author, Martyn Whittock, from his home outside Bath in England. The two got acquainted when Ken interviewed Martyn (S2E58) about his new book. They discussed the misappropriation of biblical prophesy throughout history, and especially today. Since then, Ken learned that Martyn was a popular television guest in the U.K., offering historical context for the week-long series of events surrounding the remembrance of Queen Elizabeth II, and the long-anticipated accession of King Charles to the throne. Ken shares his personal connection through his grandmother, born in London in 1903, and Ken's visit to London the same week Princess Diana was memorialized in August of 1997. Ken and Martyn trace the events from Balmoral in Scotland to London - Buckingham Palace, Westminster Cathedral, and Windsor Castle. Ken shares his mixed emotions, citing friends who just cannot watch - the conspicuous wealth, the history of colonization, and the display of "theocracy." Martyn brings a rich perspective to it all, bringing context and depth. Ken's affection for his grandmother's homeland and Martyn's knowledge and appreciation of America's perspective makes for a lively, informative, and stimulating exchange. Thank you, Martyn Whittock!
