Christmas is still being celebrated as the 12 Days are counted down.

The mission of Saint John Bosco occurred to him after being slighted by a priest when just a boy. This angered him and he wanted to lash out.

But the Virgin Mary came to him with the mission for his entire life. Setting in motion better ways for how young children should be treated.

Saint John Bosco's mission was to fulfill the Virgin Mary’s request to help orphans from the streets of Turin in the 1800’s.

Once time while overseas several years ago, I literally stumbled on the “Marian Column” in Old Town Prague. At the time it did not appear in any tour guides, nor promotional materials. 

Intrigued, I researched the story of the Marian Column of Prague. 

It’s history, long hidden behind the Iron Curtain, in a country that up to this day is considered one of the least religious in the world was brought back to the square in 2020.

The original Marian Column erected in 1850 was destroyed by radicals following WWI.

This new column has been brought back to the square by citizen who wish to thank the Virgin Mary for her love for the people of the Czech Republic.

The Virgin Mary appears at Medjugorje in Yugoslavia (now Bosnia and Herzegovina) in June 1981. Her earliest messages reinforce Gospel teachings by Christ on ways to live: Love God and Neighbors, Faith, Prayer and Fasting.

These are how a person can ‘return to God’ and enjoy the ‘fullness of life.’

Meanwhile a Pope and a President find renewed clarity of purpose as they live on the pointy edge of the sword, each recovering from assassination attempts.

Poland’s communist government and the Berlin Wall become the new focus of their attention.

Part 12- Summer Listening continues with this twelfth installment of my 1st book “The Constant Procession.”

The episode continues around the time of WWI. The Fatima seer, Sister Lucia sent a message to the Pope.

What followed was a call for people world-wide to consecrate their hearts and minds to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

By the end of WWI, the reality was that many who died in the line of battle were the best and brightest of that generation. It suddenly created a vacuum of natural leaders all across the world. 

Fatalism overtook Faith and the Roaring Twenties attitude of “anything goes” became the way of the world.

Culminating in WWII.

But then, the story of "Our Lady of the Great Return" in Chapter 21 tells of a phenomena that started in France during WWII. 

It gave people hope and became an 'endless procession' of sorts, as people marched through the streets all across France behind a very special statue of the Virgin Mary. These marches started in 1942 and continuing through 1948.
