    Georgie Tunny

We’re delighted to have Georgie Tunny from Network 10’s The Project as our special guest on the Food Bytes podcast this week.

Georgie offers a fresh and funny perspective on food, love and life, from her hankering for Coles BBQ chooks to white knuckle chairlift adventures and the wedding proposal that involved meat pies.

And it’s a date! Or is it? That’s the focus of our Friday Food Poll this week

David Correos and Paul Douglas (NZ Comedians) - ALTBAYS Show #168

David Correos and Paul Douglas (NZ Comedians) - ALTBAYS Show #168

Show 168 – David Correos and Paul Douglas (NZ Comedians)

Welcome to the Altbays Show (Feat. Leo Magri)

Meet David Correos and Paul Douglas

Paul Douglas is one of the busiest live stand-up comedians in New Zealand and the winner of Best Live Show and Best Gag at the 2019 New Zealand Comedy Guild Awards.

A master storyteller, Paul’s simultaneously laid-back and frenetic energy has been winning over audiences for over ten years and will leave you wanting to have a yarn with the man himself. A regular headliner at the Classic Comedy Club and as seen on 7 Days and TVNZ’s Comedy Gala.

Wishing to perform in musical theatre, Correos attended a two-year drama course at Hagley College, after which he applied to a broadcasting school but was denied entry. He became interested in comedy and started performing arts at Hagley Theatre Company. Correos started performing stand-up alongside musicians and street performers and began learning to write comedy.

Correos won the Billy T Award n 2016 and the Comic Originality award at the 2015 Comedy Guild Awards. He first performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017 with Matt Stellingwerf, their show, Chaos & Order. He returned to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2018 with a new show titled The Correos Effect, and at a later date, also performed it at the Fringe Festivals in Dunedin, Auckland and Adelaide. In 2019, he performed his show Better Than I Was The Last Time at Fringe.

Correos' television credits include appearances as a panellist on 7 Days (on which he was also a writer), The Project and Taskmaster. Correos also appears in videos by the sketch comedy group Viva La Dirt League.

ALTBAYS Show invites awesome people to have an honest, laid-back conversation. Our platform focuses on bringing communities together to grow and thrive.

Gorgi Coghlan’s ‘Country Girl’ Approach To Beauty

If you’re a fan of The Project, you’ll know Gorgi Coghlan as a much-loved scientist and teacher turned TV presenter and journalist.

But more than anything, Gorgi’s a self-confessed “country girl” at heart and loves a simple routine that a) gets all her TV makeup off and b) fits in with her active lifestyle.

(Gorgi is also an ambassador for Carman’s Women’s Fun Run 2019, you can find out more info here: https://carmanswomensfunrun.com.au/event-details/)

In this episode of You Beauty, Gorgi shares her low key but effective skincare routine, and the tips and tricks she’s picked up from her TV makeup artists. Oh, and how she is known for leaving behind her beauty products in hotel showers.

And in our Spendy Savey segment, we find out Gorgi’s favourite bougie body cream. Enjoy!
