DJ Emskee mix of The Bobby Busnach Files (a re-edits collective) - Pt. 1 1/13
If you're familiar with my "Qualified Elegant" mixes on my page, the girl in the picture for this mix should look familiar. Again it's Geraldine Visco (Gerry Visco), a very good friend of mine from her days as a fastionista here in New York City in the 70's. The photographer is Bobby Busnach. I met Bobby though Gerry's connection online, and came to find out that he was a studio rat, producing machine back in the cut and splice tape days. He also worked at the famed Rock and Soul Record store in manhattan with Walter Gibbons and other like minded music heads who also dabbled in the studio. Bobby graciously gave me a lot of his re-edits that he's done over the years, and i felt the need to put them in mix form to share with the world. This is an hour or so mix, but it's only about 7 records as his re-edits take you on a hypnotic journey. This is Pt. 1. Check out these and more at http://soundcloud.com/bobby-busnach. Classic mixes before the computer age of editing. Enjoy the ride.

Dj Emskee: Qualified Elegant Pt.3 (a downtempo disco/club music mix experience)

Dj Emskee: Qualified Elegant Pt.3 (a downtempo disco/club music mix experience)
This is the third and final mix of the "Qualified Elegant" trifecta. Another serious deep, slow, club/disco mix. And one more time, the amazing picture that accompany's this mix is of a very good friend of mine, the unpredictable and awesome Gerry Visco (google her....she's fabulous), as a stunner of the 70's fashion movement. It, along with alot of other incredible images of her that you'll have to search for, was taken by the very talented Bobby Busnach who has history not only as a photographer, but is deep in music (http://soundcloud.com/bobby-busnach) and having worked at storied nyc vinyl havens such as Downstairs Records with Walter Gibbons, and the pre-golden age of Rock and Soul store in midtown. Bump and pass.

Dj Emskee: Qualified Elegance Pt.2 (a down/midtempo club music mix experience) 12/12

Dj Emskee: Qualified Elegance Pt.2 (a down/midtempo club music mix experience) 12/12
This is another one for the serious deep, slow, club/disco heads. For those who's music tastes are qualified for the elegant standard of mixing. Dj Emskee live house music (and more) set from the Belmont Lounge in New York City - July 2007 (pt.3)
I posted the first parts of this mix awhile ago, but i JUST found the continuation disks. This contains more house music with other nuggets of rhythms and vibes in between. The clientele of the Belmont Lounge has long changed, as it's a college student, rock/electro music spot now. This is back when it still had some flavor. Enjoy the ride.
