Season 02, Episode 27: “The Tomorrow War”: Letdown or Libertarian Masterpiece?

In the not-so-distant future, humanity is threatened with extinction by killer aliens. To reverse the trajectory, researchers are able to go back 30 years in the past to recruit humans to help change the course of fate.

Despite the impressive set-up, there’s a lot wrong with the movie (depending on who you ask). Although Sean and Jen found it irredeemable, Paul insisted that it’s “one of the greatest libertarian movies of all time”. On this episode of Out of Frame: Behind the Scenes, we’ll let you, the viewer, decide who’s right.

The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians to be transported to the future and join the fight. Determined to save the world for his daughter, Dan Forester teams up with a brilliant scientist and his estranged father to rewrite the planet’s fate.

NO SUDDEN MOVE (2021) streaming on HBOMax
Set in 1954 Detroit, a group of criminals are brought together under mysterious circumstances and have to work together to uncover what's really going on when their simple job goes completely sideways.

    The Tomorrow War.

The year 2020 was difficult for many reasons, hitting many industries badly and the film industry was no exception, with movies that were meant to be released in the theater being sold to streaming services, skipping a theater run altogether.

In this episode of The 602 Club hosts Matthew Rushing and Christy Morris talk about The Tomorrow War. We discuss marketing, time travel, not sacrificing the future, the life you lead, the cast, the aliens, the solution, the soundtrack, our ratings and recommendations.
