Pulisic Needs A Redemption Arc, MLS Is Swimming In Money, and Messi Failed At PSG

In this episode of the DeadBall TV Podcast, the lads take things back to America to debate the uncertain futures of USMNT stars Christian Pulisic and Tim Weah, both of whom are in less-than-favorable positions with their respective clubs. Pulisic has somehow been deemed to be worse than Mudryk, and Tim Weah is playing in Antonee Robinson's position.

Keeping things local, a recent report from Sportico revealed that 18 MLS clubs rank in the top 50 most valuable soccer clubs in the world. Upon further review, this might not be as big of an achievement as you might think it is...

And lastly, Lionel Messi has added his name to the growing list of superstars who failed to bring a Champions League to PSG. After an apparent miscommunication about practice (PRACTICE!), PSG suspended Messi for 2 weeks and announced that they do not plan on extending his contract.

So what's next? Chase the cash in Saudi Arabia? Tan on the beach in Miami? Return to Barcelona? We have a few thoughts.

World Cup Edition of OTB: USA-Wales ends in 1-1 draw. Was it a Qatarstrophe?

World Cup Edition of OTB: USA-Wales ends in 1-1 draw. Was it a Qatarstrophe?
A Tale of Two Halves. USMNT marked their return to the World Cup with a 1-1 draw against Wales. Tim Weah puts one in the back of the net in the first half. But Gareth Bale's penalty kick late in the second half resulted in the two teams splitting points. It's a draw. Christian Pulisic had a great first half, but Team Wales came out more aggressive and put Gregg Berhalter's team on the ropes and Walker Zimmerman's foul on Bale proved costly. Big saves from Matt Turner and outstanding play from Tyler Adams topped the highlights of the second half. Join Chris and Kevin as they break it all down.

Kevin returns to U Mass for his alumni game, celebrate soldiers' success as players, critique kangaroo boots vs. modern cleats, express their disgust for referee mobbing, welcome U.S. Soccer’s new CEO, JT Batson, and revel in LMU’s undefeated season. Another full week on the pitch for OTB.

Episode 93: Earnie Stewart’s new job, Kremlinology, and 4 young players Berhalter should call up soon

Earnie Stewart has a new job, Kate Markgraf has a new job, and we've got clips from the conference call with them and Carlos Cordeiro as they discussed their new roles. Greg and Belz get into that and what it means, and then we talk about Weah, Dest, Sargent and Pomykal, and a few other notable performances from the weekend.

Episode 52: The Bundesliga returns! A look ahead to the Panama friendly. France downs the USWNT.

We run down the action in Europe over the weekend, mostly in the Bundesliga. Greg explains what worried him about the USWNT’s 3-1 loss to France. Then we talk about the upcoming Panama friendly, who the 6 is going to be, and we give our (half-hearted) starting XIs. Mostly we're just curious about the game.

12/27/18 - Benitez bros Boxing Day Special "I think the USMNT will get to a World Cup final, Narrator: they did not"

Boxing Day with the Benitez Brothers is about to become a yearly tradition. John Benitez (not affiliated with Nike) and previous guest, ex-El Salvadoran national U-21 player Kenny Benitez (also John's younger brother), join Steven and Andrea to eat some leftover Christmas cookies and talk some chisme like true Latinos. The Wankers and guests cover the new LA Galaxy head coach appointment, Inter Milan are the "not cool moment of the week" winners, and Tim Weah loaning himself out to Celtic where he'll be more useful. They celebrate Boxing Day in style, going nuts over Digne's free kick, bemoaning Yedlin's weak start, and raving over thicc boy Shaqiri becoming the signing of the season. Spurs are in contention for the title race, and Manchester United have got the real Pogba back. Come for the Premier League discussion, stay for the MLS off season takes, as well as USMNT World Cup predictions within our lifetime. And as always, you've got subs, if you need 'em.

United. As always, they gush over the US Women's National Team and their gorgeous attacks and the Wankers weigh in this week on #save the crew and how the crew was saved!
