After visiting Woodside Park during the week to look at the stallions at the farm there was a noticeable admission from the stallion barn, Written Tycoon. The star Victorian sire will stand this season at Arrowfield Stud in the NSW Hunter Valley with the two farms teaming up for something new to the stud-game. Its exciting times for Woodside so this week Todd speaks to CEO James Price about the Written Tycoon move and the stallions on the 2020 roster.

Cam speaks about his father Nash, who is also a jockey, and some of his memories of him as well as his first race ride against the old man and his first win. Sebastian talks about the landscape of this year's sales season and how the results fared.

Successful in 2012 with Green Moon and Almandin saluting in 2016 Rob may have a major say in the 2020 Cup with one Shabau and Django Freeman both heading in that direction. Todd speaks to Rob about the use of Macedon Lodge with these two stayers in their Spring campaigns, a property Rob spent so much time working at whilst with the Lloyd Williams operation.

Newgate Farm resident stallion Deep Field surpassed his sire to hold a new record for Australian winner's for a second-season sire. He bettered Northern Meteor's 80 wins over the weekend so this week on The Trainers Hut Todd Blum is joined by Newgate Farm Director of Stallions Bruce Slade. Bruce speaks all things Deep Field as well as his first son to stand at stud in Cosmic Force who will stand alongside his old-man as well as his new personal venture Kestrel Thoroughbreds.

That's vendors or potential buyers. They also discuss some of the stallions Sheamus is bullish about and some of the things he considers when mating a mare. Amongst the resulted racehorse he has mated is Melbourne Cup hero Vow And Declare.

This week on The Trainers Hut Todd Blum wanted a guest who had a link to the Royal Ascot Carnival. The famous five-day event was held last week and when thinking of someone who would tie in nicely Jeremy Gask came straight to mind. Jeremy started training in Adelaide and then found himself training in England for 10 years before recently returning to train at Scone. Jeremy trained the warrior Medicean Man who ran at Royal Ascot seven times in eight years.

This week we go in The Trainers Hut with returning trainer Sam Kavanagh. It has been well noted that Sam faced a lengthy ban that was reduced to over four years on appeal and he has been granted a trainer's licence and given a second chance. Todd speaks to Sam about some of the horses that have been a part of the rebuild of the stable as well as some of the other things that have been keeping him busy.
