Hour 1

NFL free agency should really get going today at noon. Russell Wilson met with the Giants but is signing with the Steelers. Gio thinks it’s going to work out for him in Pittsburgh. Boomer reminded us how competitive the AFC is, so to think Wilson is taking them deep into the playoffs is probably not likely. Kirk Cousins is going to hit free agency and many have him going to Atlanta. Boomer keeps saying Zach Wilson is going to the Vikings, but he’s probably saying that just to annoy Gio. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with Baker Mayfield staying with the Bucs. The Knicks only scored 73 points in their loss to the Sixers. Knicks players said they, ‘played like s***’. Cream Abdul-Jabbar (Robbie Avila) and Indiana State lost to Drake. There was some pushing and shoving between LSU and South Carolina in women’s basketball. Wilmer Flores pitched for the Tigers against the Mets. It’s former Mets player Wilmer Flores’ brother. They have the same name. There are two more brothers also named Wilmer Flores. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer talked about Ariana Grande’s outfit at the Oscars. Gio wonders why Ryan Gosling never brings his wife to things like the Oscars. John Cena was naked with an envelope over his private parts. 

Hour 2

Gio was at a St. Patrick’s Day party at someone’s house and ‘Little Boomer’ was hired to play a leprechaun. What are the Jets going to do in this free agency period? How much will they tweak the lineup? The Vikings want to keep Kirk Cousins but he is going to want huge money and a lot of people think he’s going to Atlanta. With Mac Jones just being worth a sixth round pick, what is Zach Wilson worth? What about Justin Fields? If you’re bringing in Fields, you are bringing him in to start. The Raiders would be a fit and the Falcons would be a fit if they don’t go with Cousins. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Knicks losing again, this time only scoring 73 points. Juan Soto hit another spring training HR, his fourth. Gio wonders if the Islanders are ‘peaking too early’. In the final segment of the hour, Shannon Sharpe claims to have made $6 million on YouTube from the interview he did with Katt Williams. It had more than 60 million views. Boomer talked about how great it was to work with Shannon Sharpe and said off the air he was hilarious and had a ton of great stories. A caller wonders what the Jets are going to do for a backup to Aaron Rodgers. 

Hour 3

We announced another Boomer & Gio Live Show, ‘With Cheese’, on Friday, May 3rd at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City. Tommy DeVito will be with us and we are going to make Shaun Morash into a giant chicken parm. Boomer said there will probably be another Matt Rempe fight tonight in the Rangers/Devils game. We are trying to get Brandon Tierney involved in the show but we haven’t received confirmation from him. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about the Bucs re-signing Baker Mayfield. Jerry has audio of Shannon Sharpe talking about Russell Wilson to the Steelers and Chad Johnson said he knew that already. What will the Bears do with Justin Fields if they draft Caleb Williams? The Knicks lost again and somehow only scored 73 points. Madonna was mad at a fan who was not standing up at the show. She was in a wheelchair. Will we find out today where Saquon Barkley ends up? Gio doesn’t think so, because there seem to be four teams in the mix. It’s hard to get a feel for what the Giants are doing this offseason. Boomer thinks the quarterbacks in the draft will go in this order: Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye. They will be off the board by the time the Giants get to their pick at six. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about the Barrett Sports Media summit. We talked about Caitlin Clark and how her going to the WNBA is bad news for college basketball. Wilmer Flores has a couple of brothers all named Wilmer Flores. And his son is named Wilmer Flores. The Moment of The Day involves our upcoming live show and how we want Brandon Tierney to be involved. Eddie goes through his Tierney drops. In the final segment of the show, we are working with Shaun Morash for our next live show instead of Peter Schwartz. Tommy DeVito is going to make him into a human chicken cutlet. Last year during the bike tour, a guy who works for Boomer’s foundation fell off his bike and ‘ripped his scrotum’.

Woody Johnson said the Jets didn’t have a backup quarterback last year. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and wonders why Boomer is fascinated with his pants. The Knicks were a mash unit last night and struggled with the Mavericks. In the final segment of the hour, a few weeks ago news came out that Sports Illustrated was out of business and everyone was fired. But yesterday Brittany MAHOMES was named a Sports Illustrated rookie swimsuit model. Danny Amendola was walking by so we had him sit down with us. 

Hour 2

Gio said he’s not a good sports gambler because he’s too emotional. Gio wants to pick a team to really root for since we will be at the game. Larry Csonka will be doing the coin flip. Eddie went hiking by himself yesterday and fell down and was bleeding. Luckily, he was not eaten by coyotes. Jerry returns for an update and starts with sound from the NFL Honors, where Keegan Michael Key was host. Tommy DeVito also made an appearance and acted out the ‘funny how’ scene from Goodfellas. Lamar Jackson won the MVP. Jerry said CJ Stroud lied when he told kids they could do anything they want in life. We wondered if Eddie died hiking, what news sources would cover it. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the NFL players that were announced as Hall of Fame inductees. Boomer loves the QB matchup for the Super Bowl: Patrick MAHOMES, in the middle of a dynasty, vs Brock Purdy, the last pick in the draft. 

Hour 3

Gio said when they get back to New York, he and Boomer are going to have to do a colon cleanse. Boomer was eating chili on a golf course at one point. There’s more golf today and CBS Sports Network producer Stephen Waldron is joining us today. Tonight is Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials on CBS. The NFL Today guys were on Jeopardy again as a tie in with the Super Bowl. Jerry is here for an update and starts with Woody Johnson talking about the disappointing Jets season. Jerry Jones talked about the Cowboys letting the fans down against Green Bay. Tony ROMO was trying to put a positive spin on the Cowboys and then Stephen A. Smith was screaming about it. Gio said Stephen A. Smith is an actor, and he’s very good at it. Deion Sanders is impressed by Brock Purdy. Boomer ran into Warren Sapp yesterday and asked him about joining Deion on the Colorado staff. Baker Mayfield was on with Kay Adams and sort of confirmed he’ll be back with Tampa, albeit on a ‘hot mic’ and not on air. Danielle McCarten is here and she asked Travis KELCE to finish the Taylor Swift song lyric. Jerry wonders what this sound is (it’s probably a fart). Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson have a new podcast called, ‘Roommates’, and Jerry has clips. In the final segment of the hour, Dua Lipa was on with Jimmy Kimmel last night, which means she was not in New York, which means the WNEW hosts lied to us. Gio knows where Dua Lipa is at all times, so he knew she was not going to be in NYC. 

Hour 4

Gary Vee joins us on location from Vegas. Boomer said he’s a very positive person, the opposite of everyone Boomer works with on the show. Gary said he’s positive in all aspects of life except for the Jets. Gary thinks Super Bowl commercials are actually underpriced because people watch the game to also watch the commercials. We talked to Gary about Bud Light’s controversy and how they’re trying to get their audience back. Gary talked about eliminating friction for consumers when buying things. Gary likes that the Jets are underdogs now, as opposed to last year when everyone had them going to the Super Bowl. Gary said, ‘the Giants stink’. He also hates Steelers fans. Gary also talked about the importance of using Linkedin properly to get yourself the job you want. Jerry is here for his final update of the week and started with the Knicks/Mavericks from last night. Woody Johnson talked about the disappointing Jets season. He also said the defense was pretty good and would be better, ‘if our offense could do something’. The Moment of The Day involves a fart sound in a locker room. In the final segment of the week, it’s our Super Bowl picks! Niners are -2.5 and Boomer is taking the Chiefs 30-27, Gio is taking the Chiefs 27-21 and Jerry is taking the Chiefs with Pacheco as the Super Bowl MVP (a Rutgers kiss up by Jerry). Hour 1

Boomer is back from Vegas and he holds up the line flying back to Newark. He had 3 carry-on bags and was told only 2. The guy sitting next to him had 3 bags so Boomer wasn’t sure if he should have said something. He knew he was being bad mouthed in line behind him as he was holding up the line. The Knicks won their ninth game in a row behind a tremendous game by Jalen Brunson. He is right there in the running for MVP. Boomer said it felt like old school 90’s Knicks last night. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of last night’s Knicks win. After the game, Brunson was getting emotional as he heard the MVP chants. The Knicks have won 15-of-17. Jim Harbaugh met the media and he said he’s going to bring it. He’s also going to live in his RV until the Chargers new facility is complete. The Seahawks introduced their new head coach Mike Macdonald. Boomer loves the hire. In the final segment of the hour, Al wondered why Donte Divencenzo isn’t being celebrated like Tommy DeVito. Gio has an explanation. 

Hour 2

Canada is still mad at Boomer for his comments in 2021 after Chris Streveler threw a pick and Boomer said it wasn’t the Grey Cup or the CFL and you can’t throw into coverage like that. Streveler has just rejoined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. We also talked about Tom Brady replacing Greg Olsen. You can’t blame Brady for that. Somebody at FOX made that call. Jerry returns for an update, but first we talked to Fudge Browne about how she got her nickname. She works with James Brown. Jerry started with the Knicks winning their ninth straight game. Gio shows Jerry some of the celebrities at the Knicks game to see if he knows who they are. In the final segment of the hour, are we still doing the Drew Barrymore show in Vegas?

Hour 3

We talked about our upcoming trip to Vegas and what the traffic situation is going to be like getting around during Super Bowl week. We are taping a spot on the Drew Barrymore Show, but we’re also golfing and traffic can be an issue. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Knicks winning their ninth straight behind 40 points by Jalen Brunson. Jerry has audio of Evan Roberts vs Shaun Morash in pickleball. Evan plays in socks, no sneakers. Gio said they didn’t even play by the pickleball rules. Jim Harbaugh met the media and said their goal is multiple championships. In the final segment of the hour, CBS will be debuting the ‘doink cam’ for the Super Bowl. We talked about Patrick Mahomes and how guys like him and Michael Jordan turn it up an extra notch when people are doubting them. And with the Chiefs being underdogs again, he will have a chip on his shoulder. 

Hour 4

This should be an epic Super Bowl. Imagine if Brock Purdy gets hurt and Sam Darnold becomes the Super Bowl MVP? Boomer will interview Brock Purdy for the Super Bowl pregame show. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with the sounds of last night’s Knicks win, their ninth straight. Knicks/Lakers at MSG is a hot ticket right now. Jim Harbaugh met the media and talked about lessons he learned from Ted Lasso. Harbaugh said he won’t be home until his staff is, ‘locked, cocked and ready to rock’.  The Moment of The Day involves Tom Brady taking Greg Olsen’s job and Chris Carlin being able to relate. In the final segment of the week, Gio is going to have anxiety about this Vegas trip until Boomer is safely at his Wednesday night dinner after golf.
