Highlight Show: Mets mash three home runs in the third and ride a strong Verlander start to even the weekend series

Pat McCarthy goes through a game where Francisco Alvarez, Brandon Nimmo, and Francisco Lindor all went deep in the third inning before later being joined by a Tommy Pham double to push the run total to four and account for all four Mets hits on the afternoon while on the other side Justin Verlander went 7 strong innings to help deliver a win which evened their weekend series against the Giants.

Highlight Show: Mets show heart but are undone by a late inning home run.

Highlight Show: Mets show heart but are undone by a late inning home run.

Pat McCarthy recaps a game where the Mets fell behind 5-1 before the fans reached their seats but slowly thanks to a triple from Eduardo Escobar, a double from Brandon Nimmo and a game tying 2-run home run from Tommy Pham the Mets tied the game at 7. However, they were ultimately undone by Nolan Arenado's bat as he bookended his game with a 2-run home run in the first and the game winning home run in the top of the 9th.

    GEORGE SANTOS: IT'S KIND OF A DRAG - 1.19.23

    GEORGE SANTOS: IT'S KIND OF A DRAG - 1.19.23

EPISODE 115: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN

A-Block (1:42) It's kind of a drag: The Republican Party has persecuted, vilified, targeted, and endangered every drag performer (and any of the rest of us who have refused to join them in their smears) by branding them 'Groomers' has been twisting itself in knots for a month all to protect a new New York Congressman who has been identified by a Brazilian Drag Star as a fellow Drag Artist.

Just when we thought "George Santos" had run out of new names, he got his best yet: Kitara Ravache. And there's a photo. And there's apparently a new VIDEO. And this is all that's left to Kevin McCarthy: throw Kitara overboard and risk a smaller House majority, or stick with him and spend the rest of the next two years answering questions about SANTOS'S DRESS SELECTION AND ABILITY TO ACCESSORIZE.

    It's. Perfect.

Plus: the only Republican who's lied more than Santos does it again. Trump inadvertently gives the DOJ evidence of his intent to steal classified folders. And under oath in the E. Jean Carroll rape lawsuit he is asked who's the woman in the photo with him. He answers "that's my wife Marla Maples." It's not. It's... E. Jean Carroll.

Could've been worse. Could've been Kitara Ravache.

B-BLOCK (16:24) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: "Critical Boy" in Texas. (17:50) IN SPORTS: The National Hockey League destroys its own "Pride Night" in Philadelphia, choosing to defend not the LGBTQ community it pretended to celebrate, but the bigoted player who hid behind his religion that endorsed Russia's attack on Ukraine because Ukraine has Pride Parades. It's a disaster. (25:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Compromises in exchange for debates, Boris Johnson's new book, and a Tesla engineer says there's a problem with the 2016 "Tesla X Drives Itself" video. He says: it's fake.

C-BLOCK (29:48) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Republican Primary Debate Chairman David Bossie - THAT David Bossie - says he's willing to put some debates on CNN and/or NBC. Do you know how much CNN and/or NBC had to prostitute themselves just to get this far? I do, from personal experience. Because in 2008, the Republicans' debate price to NBC was: "Fire Olbermann."

When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong

When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong

In the celebration of Pride happening during the month of June, a hot topic comes across the Gents to start this episode of the podcast. EstoBro stumbles upon an article written by Esquire (2:55) that explains the concept of 'fictosexual' and how they are celebrated by the LGBTQIA+ community. After the cold open, EstoBro welcomes TV back from Germany and gets right into it with a victory celebrated by the video game community. The late coach and legend of football, John Madden, was selected to appear on the cover of the infamous video game his name is on (15:25) as the Gents celebrate the great Madden NFL franchise. EstoBro and TV definitely go down the rabbit hole on talking all things video games (26:00), and how the state of their play is gamers as they embrace their 30s. An interesting topic regarding fantasy sports (42:05), the title of the episode explains the fallout on what happened between professional baseball players Tommy Pham and Joc Pederson with their fantasy football league last year. The Gents also point their attention of an update of the NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Playoffs, with full favoritism of the local team and the Tampa Bay Lightning (50:00). It has been a while since EstoBro and TV had the munchies during the podcast (65:05), so they definitely talk shop on how summer is here and how grilling season is in full effect. EstoBro also wants to enable the fact that the grilled chicken sandwich should make a contending effort to represent in the 'Chicken Sandwich Wars,' yet TV wants to enable the fact that more sandwiches needs to be included in this gastronomic extravaganza!
