    Shelley Federico was a marine corp wife living in base housing in Naval Station, Norfolk Virginia in 2010. After falling deathly ill in her home, she sued Lincoln Military Housing for allowing conditions that made her sick. Through her relentless efforts to seek justice, Shelley won her Federal court case and walked away victorious. Shelley became a fierceful advocate for the military community and started her own nonprofit, the Military Mold Advisory Council, that worked to help military families seek justice against poor living conditions. 

    In this episode, listeners learn how military wife Shelley Frederico sought justice against the military housing unit that made her and her family gravely ill and what she is doing to help ensure no other military community suffers in the manner that she did.

    Robert McKee, is an expert environmental injury litigator and partner of the McKee Law Group in Florida.  Prior to commencing his legal career, he developed enterprises as a South Florida landscape contractor and nurseryman. Enraged by injustice, Robert enrolled in law school at St. Thomas University School of Law, from which he graduated with honors while being a Law Review member. His unique background in agricultural science put him as an integral part in the firm’s litigation by representing hundreds of farmers against E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company, Inc. Robert specializes in toxic torts, agricultural, environmental, commercial, and complex products liability litigation. He handles toxic exposure and contamination cases throughout the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Robert has litigated against many of the world’s largest companies, including DuPont, Novartis, Basf, Exxon and BP. Among other recognitions, Robert has been certified as one of the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” by The National Trial Lawyers in 2012, as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” in 2008, as one of “South Florida’s Top Lawyers” in 2010, 2011 and as one of “America’s Most Honored Professionals.” Last but not least, Robert won one of the largest single plaintiff mold contamination cases, nationwide. The damage award included $10 million for expected future medical expenses, more than $1.2 million for past and future lost earnings, and $35 million for loss of capacity to enjoy life.
