Lea and Guest Yi Ding, a Eurail executive, share train tips and trips, from speedy, efficient Eurail to the luxury private train tours of the world. Once a frequent flyer and jetting off to Europe most weekends, editor at The Independent Travel, Helen Coffey, quit flying for a year in 2020. She's now written a book about her flight-free adventures and the impact of the aviation industry on the planet.

Ciao from Italy,

Salutations and greetings from the beautiful city of Parma in the region of Emilia Romagna, Italy.   I was sitting in front of the Palazzo del Governatore on Strada Garibaldi at an outdoor cafe, O' Bistro in the piazza, when I decided to record this travel share.   In other words, this is a little on the wing, in the moment situation. 

Travel is always full of big and small moments and this is a reflection on recent days.  Traveling from Venice in the beautiful Veneto region to Bologna, and then on to Parma an hour away.  I also share the story of my days in Ravenna where I traveled to see the art treasures of the Byzantine Empire....
