    Episode 59

Video Round-Tripping in PowerPoint - Video round-tripping in PowerPoint is like the movie inception, where we figure out everything is a dream, inside of a dream, that is possibly inside of another dream… this is creating content in PowerPoint, that is exported to video, and then that video become part of the PowerPoint content, or a slide with a video of PowerPoint content with other PowerPoint content. It is crazy stuff you can do with PowerPoint, and Troy, Sandy and Nolan have a great design studio conversation all about it!

A Good Trip: Science, Psychology and Psychedelics with Comedian Shane Mauss

A Good Trip: Science, Psychology and Psychedelics with Comedian Shane Mauss

Today Dr. Kelly interviews comediam Shane Mauss, who is taking the country by storm with his new stand up show, "A Good Trip" - Expect a provocative, fun hour where we examine the intersection of science, psychology and psychedelics. An avid proponent of psychedelic medicine (Shane regularly uses magic mushrooms for depression and creativity) as well as psychedelic spirituality. We will discuss Shane's experiences with DMT as we seek to explore how neuroscience and psychology factor into the psychedelic experience. The goal is to take a critical view of our own expeirences and explain them in a science way. And with laughter, of course. :)

    27- Shane Mauss

    27- Shane Mauss

Shane Mauss is a great comedian. He's had his own specials on Comedy Central and Netflix, done late night TV, sells out comedy clubs, everything you'd expect from a successful stand-up. But my favorite thing about Shane is when he decides to spend an hour doing a deep dive into one subject and pulling every bit of meat on the bone, like with his current one man show on psychedelics. It's a long strange trip on this weeks Bombing.

    Episode 51

    Episode 51
Predominantly recorded in mid-April- this was the Fish Fantasy that almost ended them all. I was ragged- over-rehearsed- hung over- depressed and tired. My throat sounded like a big ol' frog croaking. Still I went out to the Cake Shop to see End And (and drink about 14 gin and tonics) The bartender refused to serve me beer or shots when the show was over that's how much gin I had ingested. I went to Burger King and thought about my life decisions and came home to do this 50th podcast at about 4 in the morning. After realizing it was to be nothing special I decided to hold off on the 50th episode. Tonight- some 4 months later- I decided to finish episode 51. (I've had special guests come over- a grand surprise musician commit to tape- even a group of friends recorded as singing "fiiiiish fantasyyyyyy" and then cheering for the grand celebration of the milestone episode but the elusive big 5-0 is STILL in the works.) So here! Episode 51 in your piehole. (for those of you thinking "hey you can't do that" Fuck you! I can do whatever I want. Btw- End And sets the bar by not only being mentioned on this episode twice but also by having no less than 4 (four!) of their songs played. They are not butthurt bitches

American Rock Scene Interview with Tripping Icarus

American Rock Scene Interview with Tripping Icarus
Tripping Icarus is a Minneapolis band, formed in 2009 by Andrew Reiner, Chris Kluwe, and Matthew Marshall. It happened like this: Chris knew Andy and Andy knew Matt. They came together and recorded a four song instrumental demo. Using this, they lured Matt's long time friend and former band mate Jesse, into the fold, and kept him chained to the walls of the rehearsal space, letting him out only to gig and record. Jesse has long since surrendered to an irrevocable case of Stockholm Syndrome and so is free to go about what's left of his life, the rest of the band certain of his inability to psychologically break free of them. Tripping Icarus recorded its debut EP at Pachyderm Studios the weekend of the Summer Solstice 2009. Following this, they gigged extensively in the Twin Cities and out-state Minnesota. In the summer of 2010 they began recording their first LP, Perfect Citizen, at Flowers Studios in Minneapolis. Their friend and producer, Andy Lindberg, died unexpectedly near the end of the recording sessions. This record, dedicated to Andy, will be released in the spring of 2011. As a side note to the music, Chris is the starting punter for the Minnesota Vikings and Andy is the Executive Editor for Game Informer magazine.
