 When you reach a certain age, you begin to perceive the passage of time differently than when you were younger. You recognize that there are fewer days in front of you than behind. You may be tempted to view life with the gravity of age rather than the audacity of youth, and in that light, you may ask, "Where is the promise?" Thank God that Hi has called us to partner with Him in stewarding and navigating time, rather than seeing it as a foe!

In the passage, Jesus encourages us to stop worrying, seek his kingdom first, and trust in his provision. Also through prayer, fasting, and heartfelt generosity we can bridge the gap.

He writes “Endure hardship with us like a GOOD SOLDIER of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets tied up in civilian affairs—he wants to please his commanding officer. Similarly, if anyone competes as AN ATHLETE, he does not receive the victor’s crown unless he competes according to the rules. And the HARDWORKING FARMER should be the first to receive a share of the crops. Think about these three illustrations, and the Lord will help you to understand how they apply to you.” Come hear the rest of the message!
