In this episode of Sports the NEMO Way we bring the Mount Rushmore of the Toronto Blue Jays to the table for discussion.
In this episode, I’m going Commando. The 1985 Arnold Schwarzenegger classic bullets and bodies action extravaganza, that is! I’m going retro this week since there’s nothing good enough at the theaters to review for my beloved movie maniacs and fellow freedom-fueled film fanatics. Commando is about ex-Special Forces soldier John Matrix trying to save his daughter after she’s kidnapped to force him to assassinate a president. Matrix escapes the baddies tasked with escorting him to the country to kill the president, and the action blows up from there. He’s joined by Rae Dawn Chong, as Cindy, who involuntarily at first, becomes his valuable ally. Will he get his daughter, played by Alyssa Milano, back in time? Of course he will! Commando also stars the late great Bill Paxton in a small role, Dan Hedaya, Vernon Wells, David Patrick Kelly, James Olson, Bill Duke, Drew Snyder, Sharon Wyatt, Michael DeLano and Bob Minor.

Sweetness, Samoyeds, and Sam Cooke - INNERSPACE is chock full of excellent character actors, and quick quips... but Dennis Quaid still sucks.

In this week’s episode of the AIPT Movies podcast, Alex, Tim, and Matt discuss Stuart Gordon’s dystopian science fiction action film, Fortress! Is the cast one of the best collections of genre actors in one movie? Would this movie be viewed as a sci-fi classic if they simply had a higher budget? Also, Alex saw Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and gives a quick rundown of his favorite parts.
In addition to the movie discussions, Alex’s next movie, Ninja 4: Into the NinjaVerse, has officially hit the same release issues as all of his other movies. Tim and Matt think Alex is being used for an elaborate tax evasion scam and say he should quit before things get any worse. Is Alex going to take their advice?! Listen now to find out!

If someone asks me to recall my favorite action hero, from my youth, and we're not counting He-Man, or Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe, the first name that is going to come to mind is SCHWARZENEGGER. So, as a little horror break, we're going to focus on a little gratuitous action violence, instead. And if you want gore, Total Recall (1990), certainly will not disappoint. This Martian mind bender will have your eyes bulging out of their sockets in no time! Assuming that you did not remember to pack the proper environmental gear before taking this trip, that is. And wait just a second! Not to be outdone, with its display of violence worthy of a slasher movie, or ten, is the 80s action classic, Commando (1985). And then from there, does anyone even remember The 6th Day (2000)? I guess. But probably not many. There may be a reason for that. But don't tune out just yet! We also discuss the recent documentary love letter to action movies of the 80s and 90s, In Search of the Last Action Heroes (2019). I hope that you're ready to be completely exhausted by all of the explosive excitement packed into the latest episode of A Cure for the Common Craig! Boom?
Forget about any other movie that might share this title! The battle for supremacy is right here, right now. First up, Rachel Ward and her one-room Australian schoolhouse are invaded by masked kidnappers. Can the schoolchildren come of age, all too quickly, in a struggle for survival to escape? Rural Australia is a dangerous place in Fortress (1985). Then, it's time for international action sensation, Christopher Lambert! He and his wife are not particularly fortunate to be pregnant, it seems, as they find themselves in a futuristic prison in the year 2017! Be careful to avoid that yellow line and definitely stay away from the red! Or your tummy might just explode from the effects of that horrible intestinator that they implanted inside your body! Wait, what? This is the world of Stuart Gordon's Fortress (1992). And then from there, the Common Craig and Nicole decide the victor! Which is the last movie standing, earning the right to keep its title???
