The Thing About Golf #40: David Greenhill

The Thing About Golf #40: David Greenhill

Since its inception nine years ago the combined men's and women's Vic Open has been a roaring success on all fronts.
Now an LPGA and European Tour event, it would have been all but impossible to predict just how big the tournament would get when it was first conceived by then acting Golf Victoria CEO David Greenhill. While quick to (rightfully) credit others with the eventual success of the event, none of it would have happened without Greenhill's vision.
On Episode 40, Greenhill reflects on how an idea which came to him while walking the dog morphed into one of the most talked about tournaments in the world.

#2: Bob Harig from ESPN, Brett Coletta, Stephen Pitt & more. Plus CEO Simon Brookhouse as special guest on the GV show.

#2: Bob Harig from ESPN, Brett Coletta, Stephen Pitt & more. Plus CEO Simon Brookhouse as special guest on the GV show.
Andy Maher and Mark Hayes are joined by Alison Whitaker on Episode 2 of Inside The Ropes. Interviews include ESPN Senior Golf writer Bob Harig to talk Tiger’s DUI (8:45), Brett Coletta on the eve of his second PGA Tour start at The Memorial (23:57), Golf Australia CEO Stephen Pitt (46:10) and Alan Grieve on taking out the Brisbane Golf Club’s monthly medal with his hickory clubs (1:10:40). Golf Victoria segment with special guest Simon Brookhouse begins at (1:18:04).
