This week, I take the all-new Volkswagen ID4 EV for a spin.  In recent years, consumers have seen the number of retails shrink as bricks and mortar stores give way to e-commerce.  Other casualty of this trend is that the stores that still exist are shrinking in size.  Finally, if you are a person of a certain age, the value of your house may actually be at an all time high.  Unfortunately for you, it may not be a good thing.

We have talked about all kinds of ways and methods to move a vehicle - from traditional gasoline and diesel fuels to e-fuels, alternative fuels, and various types of EVs and fuel cells.  Now comes a Class 8, big rig prototype that uses solar energy.  And while we are on the topic of different, Volkswagen has announced a performance version of its ID4 EV that will wear the legendary GTI badging.
