Campfires, Cornerstones, and Community: How Belonging is Good Energy

This episode is about the power of belonging. Finding a community where you can thrive in all aspects of your life. Humans thrive in togetherness and feel stress in isolation. When we are out of balance, the cornerstones of the community may need more attention. Energy healing is a part of life that belongs everywhere. Celebrate the tremendous resources that arrive when we connect to our life. The Good Energy Healing Club is a natural extension of The Good Energy Healing Show as we weave powerful moments of awareness together in spaces that feel like community. Seek the joy and freedom that arrives when we feel part of energy as a beautiful, abundant field.

We may need more openness to change,  we may need more awareness of our abundant resources, we may need more sharing and caring time, and we may need more connection with all of life - people, animals, plants, the planet, and the intelligent energy of our cells. How do we connect? By saying “yes” to all the ways we’re invited to belong to ourselves and to take up a loving space in this world.  Pay attention to how you’re always invited to belong to something. Be open to the invitations for goodness, calm, ease, and healing.

    Tusk (2014)

    Tusk (2014)

Well, here's another clue for you all, the walrus was Paul! Actually the walrus was Wallace played by the lovely Justin Long. I take a dunk in the ocean of Kevin Smith's horror catalogue, and I wasn't disappointed in the least. Not only does Kevin Smith direct and write this film, he also edited it! So sharpen your tusks, relax your flippers cause this is gonna be a blubbery ride... God, I think that was even a stretch.

How we ruined Freya’s Hot Walrus summer

How we ruined Freya’s Hot Walrus summer

We’re not hearing any apologies from the former PM over the revelation that he held five secret ministry portfolios during the final two years of his government. But we are saying sorry to Freya the Walrus, lately of Oslo Fjörd. We got in her space, anthropomorphised her, made her an Internet star, and then — we killed her.

We’re also reflecting on the apology that took 50 years to be made to Native American actor and activist Sacheen Littlefeather, who spoke on stage at the 1973 Academy Awards in Marlon Brando’s place.

EPISODE 11: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN 8.15.22

EPISODE 11: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN 8.15.22

MONTHS MORE OF TRUMP'S NUCLEAR DOCUMENTS

A BLOCK: (0:00) Of Roy Cohn, The Rosenberg Executions, and Donald Trump (2:45) Officials predict "many months" before the Trump Theft story "plays out" (5:30) Every possible angle of "Classification/Declassification" is hyped, except Charlie Savage's note that none of the laws Trump may have broken "turn on whether information was deemed to be unclassified" (6:01) In one week Trump's Cover-Up Team produced 31 DIFFERENT excuses why Trump did nothing wrong, and I review them (11:10) This obscures the only real debate: do you pursue Trump for a 10-year sentence per count, or a 20-year sentence, because we can't do to him what Cohn did to Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.

B BLOCK (13:12) Every Dog Has Its Day: Cheer Bear (14:49) Postscripts To The News: The IRS coming to kill you nonsense; The Boeberts (Again).(16:50) When I met Salman Rushdie and wondered if he had enough security (19:25) How come nobody's talking about baseball's new steroid scandal? If the man the game attempted to market as the new face of the sport, who was "here to change the game" is suspended until next year, it's more than Fernando Tatis who is in trouble (23:55) The Norwegian Government, Ted Cruz and Kevin McCarthy vie for honors as The Worst Persons In The World.

C BLOCK (29:31) Things I Promised Not To Tell: 45 years ago Tuesday, Elvis Presley died. It is little remembered, but the day he shuffled off, he was due to start a concert tour in the Northeast. For his scheduled appearance in Syracuse, Elvis's promoters bought commercial time on every radio station within an hour of the arena. That included the Cornell radio station I was running at the time, and I did the commercial! (35:33) The actual Elvis concert commercial I did, from WVBR-FM, Ithaca, New York, from August 1977 - when I was 18 years old (37:17) What happened on our station's main newscast the moment Elvis died (39:20) ELVIS OWES ME MONEY. Fin.

    #221: Vabbing, Hathahate, Joni Mitchell

    #221: Vabbing, Hathahate, Joni Mitchell

This is one of those weeks where Bang On truly has it all.

Myf and Zan start with a 600kg sun-loving walrus, and end with vagina perfume.

In between, we wrap the week that was, including the solving of the mysterious Somerton Man (Zan wants to rewind to when he was a mystery). A teaser for the new Black Panther movie has us in a tizz, particularly cos one of our faves is in it. And a reflection on the massive pile on to Anne Hathaway in the noughties is reframed through a new generation’s viewpoint.

Myf is loving fellow mad dawg Miriam Margolyes new show, and Zan is an absolute wreck after seeing Joni Mitchell return to the live stage
