Pike Messenger has been visiting vernal pools for, literally, decades. Listen as Pike, along with Wendall in the Wild co-hosts Wendall Waters and Chris Stevens, takes you on a trip to visit some local pools that are very important territory for wood frogs, salamanders, dragonfly larvae, and lots of other wildlife. 

Wendall recorded the sound of a crow running through an array of calls. She filtered out the background noise and deleted some of the silent stretches. The crow makes the traditional calls but also clicks, bugling and other sounds.

Wendall and Chris visit the Chapman Way/Lowe Pond Boardwalk in Boxford. Running alongside and underneath it is a beaver dam, and the lodge is nearby along the bank. What will they find? Listen in.
