How Post-Grad Life Looks Nothing Like We Thought feat. Cherie Wai

How Post-Grad Life Looks Nothing Like We Thought feat. Cherie Wai

On the ninth episode of The Sarah Show, Sarah talks with Cherie Wai about the realities of life after post-secondary graduation — and it's not all unicorns and rainbows.

Cherie Wai graduated in 2019 with an honours degree in international development. She then did internships and worked at different non-profit organizations, and now she's looking for a marketing or communications job in the humanitarian sector.

Sarah Chew graduated in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She now works as video producer for a Christian church youth ministry.

Neither Cherie nor Sarah expected their careers to go the way they did. Join the two women as they discuss the many struggles they faced after graduating: moving back home and losing their sense of independence, losing close friends and community, and being tempted to compare their career journeys with their peers.

Sarah and Cherie also talk about how God has taught them to submit all their dreams, hopes and aspirations to Him, and let Him make their paths straight. They even pray for the listeners who will be or currently are in their post-grad seasons — so listen to this episode until the end!
