Flat-faced, or brachycephalic, dog breeds face challenges that go beyond simply having a harder time staying cool in hot weather. Breeds like Frenchies, English Bulldogs, Pugs, and others, often struggle to breathe daily due to breeding for more wrinkles or a certain look that is appealing to consumers. Did you know that many of these breeds have malformed noses or palates that make it very difficult for them to live without pain? With the rise in popularity of these breeds, especially French Bulldogs, we want people to understand what they may be faced with when adding one of these breeds to their family.
