Wine Series 002 – Naturally-farmed land and equilibrium with Michal Mosney

Wine Series 002 – Naturally-farmed land and equilibrium with Michal Mosney

Michal Mosney of Winemaker's Cut came to the Okanagan with his family in 2012 from Slovakia, where they used to own a small garage / boutique winery. In Slovakia, Michael worked for the biggest wine, sparkling wine and brandy producer Hubert J.E.

After arriving in the Okanagan, Michal established a vineyard management and winemaking consulting company called GAGW Solutions (Good Attitude Good Wine) and was consulting for number of vineyards and wineries. In Kelowna it was Meadow Vista Honey Wines and Bounty Cellars.

Michael and his wife are now very busy working on their own wine label called Winemaker’s CUT.

Deadman Lake Vineyard just south of Oliver is home for their wines. They are focusing on producing Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah in a beautiful vineyard. The Mosneys are big believers in naturally farmed land, equilibrium, harmony with nature and playing classical music to the wines. And Michael does believe that it has a big influence on their wines.
