    Did You Just Call Me....Privileged?

    Did You Just Call Me....Privileged?

Do you recognize your privilege or are you infatuated with the struggle? Privilege is a word we've been throwing around a lot more lately. So much that it has been given a bad reputation. In this episode the ladies discuss how the word privileged isn't always meant to be used as an insult, and the rise of "struggle wars."

Nagging Doubt Winery with Rob Westbury

Nagging Doubt Winery with Rob Westbury

Rob Westbury grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, with nary a grapevine in sight. After a stint as the drummer in a punk band and a few years at graduate school in the States (where he met his wife), he headed into a busy career in HR. Throughout all of this, he maintained a keen interest in food & wine, and harboured a lifelong desire to work with his hands. A long-term work placement in San Francisco reignited Rob’s passion for wine, and pointed him in the right direction: towards the incredible Okanagan Valley.

In 2010, Rob started Nagging Doubt Wines (commuting in from Vancouver on weekends), and he and his family moved to Kelowna in 2012. In 2013, they bought a beautiful, west-facing hillside property in South  East Kelowna, planted 5½ acres of grapes, and converted their horse barn into a small-but-awesome boutique winery. Punk drummer to corporate manager to farmer/winemaker—Rob is now, finally, right where he was always meant to be.

    Red Lips and Wine Sips

On this episode you'll get to hear Kara Rogers and I try some great Okanagan wines! I love audio because it forces you to be concise and descriptive with your words, and I'm sure you'll agree that Tanja Martell and Annika Betts do a great job here. :D

Tanja and Annika are two Ontario girls who met in the Okanagan while working together at Sandhill Wines. After 5 years of friendship and a variety of wine industry jobs between the two of them, they decided to combine their experience and passion to form Red Lips & Wine Sips

As certified Sommeliers with over 15 years of combined experience in the Canadian wine industry, Tanja and Annika offer a variety of wine-related services to the Okanagan community. From in-home tasting parties, exclusive tasting events and cellar building, to staff wine education and training we are here to share our love of wine.
