Inside the DoD: Feb. 8, 2013
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey announced the end of the direct ground combat exclusion rule for female members of the military, which will open about 237,000 positions to women. This change has been hotly debated since its announcement, but photos of women currently serving and Secretary Panetta's words "There are no guarantees of success. Not everyone can be a combat soldier, but everyone is entitled to a chance," evince the evolving landscape of our country's armed forces. Episode 152-Crime In America & Women in Combat

Episode 152-Crime In America & Women in Combat

In this episode of the National Crawford Roundtable the guys discuss crime in America and women in combat.  The guys first discuss the case of a 61-year-old New York bodega worker who defended himself against being attacked by a career criminal (out on parole for assaulting a police officer).  The worker, an immigrant with zero criminal record, is being charged with 2nd Degree murder by the George Soror funded liberal DA.  It appears we are in an upside down craziness where crime is being rewarded and self defense criminalized by pro-criminal Democrat District Attorneys.  Open shoplifting, looting, BLM riot charges dropped, illegal protesting outside of SCOTUS homes, Pro-Life Centers and churches firebombed, open extortion threats from pro-abortion groups like "Jane's Revenge",  illegal immigration--all with no charges brought.  And yet, January 6th protesters are still in jail, denied bail.  The second half of today's podcast reviews Senate Democrats recently passing a provision requiring women to register for the Draft (it had been blocked last year by Republicans) opening the door for them to be sent into combat should the draft be instituted .  Should women have to register for the draft the same way men do?  Why or why not should women serve in combat roles?  It is wise for our combat military to go co-ed?
