We need to obey God even when we do not see how everything is going to turn out.

God's love for us is infinite and perfect. No good thing does He withold, for He even gave us His own Son. Our response should be extravagent worship, giving ourselves to Him completely, pouring out all our love as a sweet-smelling offering, just as Mary did when she anointed Jesus.

What we think about our best life might be very different from what God thinks about it. To find out about his purpose, we need to look at our identity - and we might be in for a surprise.
