Episode 277: Have your pets spayed or neutered

Episode 277: Have your pets spayed or neutered
Pour one out for the Homie Bob Barker, keeping all millennials and Gen Xers company on sick days. So more news out of Gamescom, including Baldur's Gate finally on Xbox, what Sonic's future holds, and how long it takes to follow the fellowship through Moria. Mortal Kombat isnt just rebooting its story, Sony jacks up its prices, and Imagine Dragons make a song for Starfield. Meanwhile, in Hollywood, WarnerBros delays movies, Disney releases streaming data, and the Late Night hosts launch a podcast. Also my favorite 80s SciFi movies.

I Can't Think of a Clever Title For This Episode (June 6, 2022)

I Can't Think of a Clever Title For This Episode (June 6, 2022)

We manage to make it two episodes in a row without something catastrophic happening.  This week our News and Previews is filled with a bunch of stories from all over the world of pop culture and entertainment.
We follow that up with a Rant, Rave and Review of the first 3 episodes of The Boys, before hitting the Retro Rewind button to talk about a true classic in the horror genre, Poltergeist, and possibly the best of the Star Trek films, Wrath of Khan both of which are celebrating 40th anniversaries.
We finish the episode by giving ourselves (and you, friendly listeners) a little homework assignment and asking the question, is 1982 the greatest year in cinematic history?

The Lost Podcasts of Titan Episode 27: Star Trek The Original Series "Space Seed"

The Lost Podcasts of Titan Episode 27: Star Trek The Original Series "Space Seed"

A Father and Son revisit the Star Trek Episode "Space Seed" which introduced us to Ricardo Montalbán and co-starring Ricardo Montalbán's chest.  It was an interesting episode where the question was brought up just how Evil was Khan?  He is played off like a Hitler but no one seems to remember him in an instance where it would actually matters.  Like let's go back 200 years or so.  Would we not recognize Napoleon?   Would Napoleon be charged for war crimes if he fell asleep and woke up today?

Clearly Kirk was upset that someone was out Kirking him.

    Excellent episode!  9/10 KHAAAAANNNNNS!

Plus the perils of international communication, kaiju as both characters and natural disasters, the most Minilla-relevant grocery chain, The Three Godzillas (move over, DC comics!), and a surprising number of comparisons to the original Mothra, and vs. SpaceGodzilla!

    Episode 20 - Movie Sequels
The Nerd Lunch crew is back together with Robert Zerbe for a bigger, louder, and uncut episode. After hearing about the latest happenings at To The Escape Hatch, we dive into movie sequels. We discuss what makes a good sequel, debate the differences between movie series and sequels, give our favorites and least favorites, and propose our own sequels for movies that don’t yet have any. In this week’s Nerd To-Do List, we offer a heaping helping of British TV and Pax provides an update on the Star Trek/Quantum Leap fanfic story mentioned in episode 18.
