Chicago Sports Radio Reporting Legend George Ofman Part I | Tell Me A Story I Don't Know

Chicago Sports Radio Reporting Legend George Ofman Part I | Tell Me A Story I Don't Know
I had to consider who would interview me for the final episodes of “Tell me a story I don’t know.” I didn’t consider it for long. TJ Rives (@bucsidelineguy on Twitter) was a no brainer.

TJ has been a vital part of this podcast for over three years. He’s heard every podcast so he knew the drill: get me to tell stories you’ve never heard before. I did from childhood to free-lancing to podcasting to writing a book!

It’s been quite a ride and chronicled perfectly by TJ. I fished out sound bites from decades ago and most notably, my call of Pete Rose tying Ty Cobb for the all time hit record in 1985. What’s fascinating about all this is being on the other end of the podcast in which I’ve interviewed nearly 100 personalities.

There are many more events and sound bites in part one so I hope you listen.

“Tell me a story I don’t know” is sponsored by Mr.Duct (mrductcleaning.com) and my new book, Tell me a story I don’t know: Conversations with Chicago sports legends is available on Amazon books and Chicago area book stores.

"Tell me a story I don't know" is part of the "Last Word on Sports Media" podcat feed and make sure to follow/subscribe on Apple, Spreaker, Spotify, Google, etc.!!

Adam & Ken's Magical Wrigley Experience

Adam & Ken's Magical Wrigley Experience

This episode starts with a standard recap of the past week of Cubs baseball, one that actually saw the streaking Cubs win 5 of their last 6 games (as of this recording). Adam and Kevin talk about the continued development of Sampson and Wesneski, Esteban Quiroz making the most of his opportunity, and a cool opportunity for some of the Cubs' top minor leaguers.

In the second half of the episode (starting at 25:22), Adam and Ken discuss their once in a lifetime experience at the Cubs' Season Ticket Holder Friends and Family event. They played catch on the field, ran the bases, visiting the Cubs dugout and clubhouse, AND MET ANDRE FRIGGIN DAWSON!!! It was a magical day, all made possible by Adam's friend and Cubs season ticket holder Amy.

We end this episode by playing part of a Pat Hughes Cameo that Adam and Ken bought Amy to thank her. Download and share and rate us on iTunes, would ya?

Kansas City Profiles Presented by Easton Roofing-Kansas City Downtown Baseball Focus Returning
The recent keynote speaker at the annual Downtown Council luncheon, Paul Goldberger, who won his prize for his work as an architecture critic, has written a brilliant new book “Ballpark: Baseball in the American City”, a look at the history of baseball parks and their effect on downtowns, and vice-versa. He speaks to that history, and to his desire to see one in Kansas City.

    Ep 43 - September 30, 2018

    Ep 43 - September 30, 2018
162 games may not be enough to determine a NL champion! Cubs and Brewers are tied heading into this final day of the regular season. I discuss how we got here, various postseason scenarios forward, and how I think the Cubs fare moving forward. Feel free to tweet your thoughts on these topics (@bricksbleachers).
