Ramone Russell | Bringing the Negro Leagues to MLB: The Show 23

Imagine, stepping into the shoes of Satchel Paige to face Josh Gibson in the 1942 Negro Leagues World Series. With the bases loaded. And with every fielder on your side kneeling around the pitcher's mound.

Starting this week, you can. Bob Kendrick sits down with Sony's Ramone Russell to tell the story of how the two of them have brought the Negro Leagues to life in this year's edition of MLB: The Show, and why it's already bringing baseball history, and American history, to a new generation like never before. Hear how the stadiums, the crowds, the uniforms, the windups, the swings, the slides, and most importantly, the stories were all recreated in living color, and how it all amounts to the most exciting year in the history of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.

Platform-Exclusive Games, King Kong, and a Michael Caine Mea Culpa

Platform-Exclusive Games, King Kong, and a Michael Caine Mea Culpa

Well, we've finally done it. How long did you really think it would take for Aaron to invite his very good friend Michael Caine to do a guest spot on this undeniably popular podcast?

Unfortunately, the appearance by America's favorite Alfred didn't go so hot, so this episode features a re-recorded introduction full of apologies (all from Aaron and Sir Caine) and at least one strange transition. We all need patches, right?

More importantly, Zak touches briefly on the bizarre emotional whiplash that is the "Godzilla vs. Kong" trailer, and both hosts dive into their deepest topic yet: Console-exclusive games and the idea of platform-exclusivity in general.

Keep an eye (or an ear) out for part two of this discussion!

(raf)
