To TFSA or To RA with Maya Fisher-French

Let us take you into the world of tax-friendly investments by asking and answering a simple question. To TFSA or to RA?

    Uhm!

We invited the one and only Maya Fisher-French, a titan in the personal finance arena, to compare between the two main tax-efficient investment vehicles in the world of finance.

Maya simplifies the Retirement Annuity (RA) and the Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA), while also highlighting the benefits of either one, the similarities between the two, the rules that govern them both, and which type of investment is best for someone not looking to pay heavy taxes.

Both the TFSA and the RA are available on EasyEquities, and the best part is that you can have both!

Hit the play button for this incredibly insightful conversation with Maya as she drops a wealth of knowledge for our community.

Cooking up a great portfolio with an INVSTR: Ivyn Sambo

‘Creating a proper portfolio is about understanding yourself.'  Wise words as we cook up a great portfolio with our next guest, Ivyn Sambo, a law student and an amazing financial content creator we consider as a friend to EasyEquities.

With thousands of subscribers to his YouTube channel, Ivyn's words and messages resonate with many South Africans looking to take ownership of their own financial journeys and the markets.

We talked about the peer pressure that INVSTRs may go through when discussing the markets online, to being a student that has access to stock markets and investment opportunities, as well as understanding personal lessons in establishing the value of money when growing up. Equally as important, we look at what Ivyn uses to research stocks before buying shares in a company. You might want to take notes for this one!

Women’s Roundtable Part 4: The B word and the S word - Tips and Tricks that you’ll love

We’re in the home stretch of our 5-part Women’s Month round table discussion with the fab 4 and Carly Barnes (Head of Brand at EasyEquities).

In part 4 we tackle words that have torn up families and created many conflicts, the B word and the S word… of course we’re talking about Saving and Budgeting.

One of our panelists gives us a mantra we should all live by when it comes to budgeting “Keep it simple, keep it realistic”. We often find ourselves setting budgets that don’t take into account our need to feel good as human beings, whether it’s lunch with friends, that delicious cup of coffee from your favourite spot or that pair of shoes that make you feel like a million bucks. Your budget should always take into account the big things like housing, transport, insurance etc but the “small” things that light up your life matter too. We also learn some game changing saving tips from smart shopping to complementary pricing which could make your next shopping experience interesting.

Put your feet up, grab a drink, press play and let the women speak!
