    Jaume Plensa

    Jaume Plensa
Jaume Plensa is an internationally celebrated artist, whose colossal sculptures enhance the landscape in locations from Japan to Germany, from the United States to Reunion. Born in Barcelona in 1955, he has become known for creating work that aims to build bridges and foster communication between people and nations, principally via his enormous portrait sculptures with closed eyes, which exude an air of peaceful meditation in contrast to their size, and his linguistically-playful pieces formed of letters from different world alphabets. As a new exhibition of his work opens at Yorkshire Sculpture Park in the North of the UK, Danielle talks with him to find out more about the lofty aims behind his work. https://paulineboty.org/ Gazelli Art House monomediafilms.london
