We're also talking about what we're driving, and things to look out for in AA DRIVEN New Zealand Car of the Year.

    The Hayabusa returns! EP68

    The Hayabusa returns! EP68
This week on Zooming with DRIVEN it's a motorbike special, with Suzuki's iconic Hayabusa taking centre stage. We talk about how it has remained a speed icon all these years later, and how awesome it is.

We also cover a couple of new Harley Davidson models; the Pan America and the all-electric Livewire. While they both serve different purposes, they both seem to be incredible creations from the American brand.

Paul Owen speaks on the Ride Forever motorcycle courses that are subsidized by ACC, and how they do wonders for riding safety in New Zealand.

And finally, we look at the Suzuki Hayabusa and the Suzuki Jimny, and work out which one we'd rather take home. They both cost a similar amount, and both have a 1.3-litre engine, so it should be a hard choice.

First C8 Chevrolet Corvette lands in NZ! EP67

First C8 Chevrolet Corvette lands in NZ! EP67
This week we're looking at the first mid-engined Chevrolet Corvette that has landed in New Zealand, and talk about whether or not it is the best performance offering on the market.

We also cover the new pictures of the Ford Ranger, and the facelift that New Zealand's cheapest EV -  the MG ZS EV has undergone.

Dean covers off Liam Lawson's heart-breaking result from the DTM finale, and we look at Ken Block making the switch to Audi.

For the game, we play 'Name that Evo', see if you can get a better score than us!

Best livery of all time? EP65

Best livery of all time? EP65
This week we're discussing one of the most interesting Formula 1 races that we've seen in recent times, where Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen still ended up on the podium, but not in normal fashion.
David covers a Ford survey, where the brand asked children about what kind of car they'd love to own. As expected, the results were somewhat TikTok related, and Sam was stoked.
We have also welcomed Castrol onboard, so it seemed like a fitting time to cover the livery competition that's running on our Facebook page. Unfortunately, Castrol has already been knocked out, but make sure to vote in the final!

    Lotus returns to NZ! EP64

    Lotus returns to NZ! EP64
This week the big news is surrounding Lotus' return to New Zealand! The iconic British brand will be represented by Giltrap Group and the Auckland showroom is set to open soon.
In other news, we're talking about Nissan's new Qashqai, and how it's going to be the first Nissan in New Zealand to feature E-Power tech.
David covers the controversy surrounding the Clean Car 'feebate' scheme of late, and we discuss what's really involved in meeting the bill.
We also discuss the poll results from our Gran Turismo V Forza debate last week.
For Expert Car Picks, we're looking at Nissans, and choose which model we'd be taking home from the brand's local line-up.

New Ford Ranger hits NZ - EP63

We also talk about the new Ford Ranger testing in New Zealand, and the Australian-built hydrogen Ranger going on sale.
The new Gran Turismo trailer is also covered, and we ask if it is better than Forza.
Finally, we go over the results from our $80K of Exotic 60 Second Sell, and find out which car won.

    Best exotic under $80K? EP62

    Best exotic under $80K? EP62
It was Mercedes-Benz that stole the show in Munich this week, so we had to kick things off with the all-new EQG Concept, which blends traditional off-road engineering with EV tech.

We also cover Kimi Raikkonen's departure from F1, and pre-empt George Russel's (now confirmed) move to Mercedes.

David explains the difference in runnings costs of a petrol car versus its BEV equivalent, and works out how much you'd actually be saving with an EV.

We also cover the poll results from the clean van Expert Car Picks segment, and are pleasantly surprised by the winner.

For the 60 Second Sell, we're looking at $80K of Exotic, and trying to find the coolest cars listed on DRIVEN.

    HSV or EV? EP61

    HSV or EV? EP61
This week on Zooming with DRIVEN we're back on Zoom, and discussing all the weird and wonderful news from the automotive world in recent times.

We cover the bizarre Formula 1 race over the weekend, which was not only ruined by terrible weather, but saw Nikita Mazepin claim the fastest lap - strange times!

We're also talking about the ginormous Chevrolet Silverado that GMSV has announced that it's bringing to New Zealand. Unsurprisingly, Sam thinks that this diesel V8-powered behemoth is the best thing on four wheels.

David talks about Audi's epic new SQ5, and how strange it is to see a brand that's committing to electric power still investing and building incredible diesel engines.

In light of this week's print edition, we ask the question 'HSV or EV?', but just one of the team sides with the Australian staple - a true shame.

For expert car picks, we're looking at clean vans, and while David and Andy go for traditional diesel power, Dean saves the day with an all-electric entry.

Is Nissan's new Z the best one yet? EP60

Is Nissan's new Z the best one yet? EP60
This week we're back to our Zoom roots on Zooming with DRIVEN as the country moves back into Level 4 lockdown. Despite the lack of studio, we've still got a bunch of automotive news to cover off.

Nissan's all-new Z is the biggest news of the week, as the Japanese brand finally whipped the covers off the highly-anticipated coupe. Does its retro styling and twin-turbo V6 make it the best one yet?

We also take a look at Polestar, which is the latest brand to enter New Zealand, and its all-electric Polestar 2 that should be available to buy soon.

Dean covers off the results from the Le Mans 24 Hour, and we take a look at an extremely close call regarding the tradition surrounding the chequered flag.

We also take to the comment section for 'Facebook Fan Mail' and look at what's been left on our recent Used Car Guru post about used Nissan Leaf buying.

Finding the best performance bargain - EP58

Finding the best performance bargain - EP58
We're all back in the studio for Zooming with DRIVEN this week, and we're kicking things off with a hiss and a roar from the BMW shoot last week.

Andy and Sam were lucky enough to be joined by BMW M driver Mike Eady at Hampton Downs to test out the 'M Drift Analyser' function in the M3 and M4. Keep an eye out for the full video soon.

July sales stats are also covered, where Ford Ranger sales aren't showing any sign of slowing down anytime soon.

Finally, we cover off the results from our '10-odd grand of grunt' 06 Second Sell category last week. Surprisingly, Sam managed to take the win, which might be his first.

    What's the fastest car for $10k? EP57

    What's the fastest car for $10k? EP57
This week on Zooming with DRIVEN we kick things off by discussing the phenomenal Formula 1 race over the weekend, where Esteban Ocon managed to win his very first GP in Hungary.

We're also talking about how Alfa Romeo New Zealand has revealed that just five Giulia Quadrifoglio GTAm models will be arriving in the country early next year.

Dean covers off the Audi e-tron GT launch that he attended last week, and revealed that an electric GT car will go very fast on an empty runway.

We also celebrate the first birthday of the AA battery van, which has been helping stranded EVs in Wellington for the last year.

For the 60 Second Sell, we're looking at '10-odd grand of grunt', and looking for the fastest car to complete a kilometre-long race from our listings on DRIVEN. Don't forget to vote for your favourite below!

How many Rangers is Ford selling? EP55

How many Rangers is Ford selling? EP55
This week David kicks the news off by revealing how many Rangers Ford is taking orders for each day. It seems that Kiwis are trying to get in before the fees are introduced!

We cover Ford's new perfume that looks to bring back traditional car smells to the all-electric Mustang Mach-E SUV.

ChargeNet recently revealed that funding has been approved for three new HyperCharger stations around New Zealand.

We are also joined by Victor Zhang of Mercedes-Benz North Shore, who discusses the all-new EQA electric vehicle, and answers our questions about the industry.

For Expert Car Picks, we are looking at pure electric vehicles priced under $80,000 to claim the government's full rebate of $8625 on.
