    In this episode, Jess aka Galactic Rainbow speaks with Brent Honey, a DJ/Producer from Naarm/Melbourne who is known as Melbourne's most happiest DJ, spreading good vibes and positive energy, aim to bring people together through his music. 

    He is known  for euphoric sounds, 90s inspired selections, fast paced mixing and sweat inducing dance moves creates memorable and wholesome sets and dancefloor experiences. 

    He has just got back from an epic EU/UK Tour supporting some huge acts, and having just quit his job to go full time as an artist, he has loads of wisdom to share about challenges, lessons and highlights from his decisions. 

    When Brent isn’t behind the decks, he is trying to make a difference through dance by running his charity events brand called Honey I’m Home Events. Since 2020, Honey I’m Home Events has raised over $14,000 for victims of natural disasters, people experiencing homelessness, battling cancer and living with disability. Honey I’m Home Events does this by running small scale festivals, club takeovers and a busking series in Melbourne CBD.

    It's a joy speaking to Brent and I have no doubt you will feel his positive energy through the podcast :)

    In this episode, Jess aka Galactic Rainbow speaks with Caity Watsøn who is popping off in the local Melbourne Techno scene and has been on a powerful journey of self-growth, finding acceptance during challenging times and has completely changed her relationship with raving.

    Caity has been completely alcohol and coffee free for over 3 years and is also sober. This hasn't always been the case and as she shares in the episode, a serious health diagnosis spurred on big changes in her life and consequently her relationship with herself.

    This episode is jammed packed with wisdom for managing cravings, putting in boundaries, saying no, finding acceptance even when things are really tough, prioritising yourself, people pleasing, and of course DJing and TECHNO!

    Caity was just voted into the top 5 for Victoria’s ‘Best DJ’ and is known for her sets fusing deep, hypnotic, heavy and hard sounds. Playing at iconic Melbourne venues such as Revolver Upstairs, My Aeon, Rubix Warehouse, KISS FM, Area3000 & Melbourne Pavilion, as well as guest mixes for Music Victoria, Anomalie Collective, Proponent Records and more. I have no doubt her DJ career is just gonna keep on blossoming!!

    Be sure to check out her techno collective '150 BPM', which focuses on raw, hypnotic and hard techno genres. ‘150 BPM’ is a mindset – aiming to push artists to play what they thought they could never get away with.

    In this episode, Jess aka Galactic Rainbow aka me, speaks with Melbourne/Naarm based DJ, Front Woman and Lead Singer, Amber Ferraro, who has dedicated the last 10 years to the Music Scene, whether that be in her Disco/House Band “Honey”, the Gospel/Techno group “Sunshine and the Disco Faith Choir” or in her DJ Residency at Onesixone nightclub.

    We go into depth on her project Silhouette – an electronic music event that celebrates and showcases the art of Kink, discussing  why there is a need for parties like this, why it is important to break  stigmas around sexuality and sex work, and how exploring kink can have ripple effects into other areas of your life. 

    We chat about the impact of having mentors in life and how to find one, the role that gender plays in the scene, and whether her classical training has been helpful or a hindrance in her DJing.

    In this episode Jess aka Galactic Rainbow, gets ready with Disco DJ, Zerya, catching up on all things human such as music, travel, sound healing, plant medicines, festivals, life challenges,  relationships, being sober and so much more! We talk about following your heart, different ways to make a decision and the importance of trust. 

    Zerya  was born in Stockholm to Kurdish parents, is a disco enthusiast Zerya and spends her time between Berlin and Mexico. She started DJ-ing in Granada, Spain, in 2002 and has been spreading her love for disco behind the decks ever since.

    Apart from playing music, Zerya is also a TV and Radio journalist. She spent two summers in Ibiza working for Amnesia interviewing DJs. Always a part of the local music scene, she has also hosted her own radio show at NTS in London.

    Zerya curates a lively selection of disco and house creating a fun and positive energy. She has shared decks with acts such as Horse Meat Disco, Basement Jaxx, Rudimental, Norman Jay, Colleen Cosmo Murphy, Antal, Craig Charles and Faithless.

    Zerya is the resident DJ of the hugely popular party Domingo Disco in Zipolite and has played for Disco Dust and Sic in Mexico City and Paradise Garage at Wilde Renate and Disco Bizarre at KitKat in Berlin.

    She has  played at Glastonbury, El Dorado, Secret Garden Party and Wilde Mohre.

    When Zerya is not bringing joy through music on the dance floor, she uses sound to heal with her widely popular gong baths.
