Pietro and Max look at the Julian Assange story on the eve of the decision in London over whether he is to be extradited to the United States. The two look at the history of the Assange saga, dating all the way back to the inception of Wikileaks in 2006 and still yet to culminate, with Assange’s fate hanging in the balance over the next few days.

The two analyse the libertarian insights to be gleaned from Assange’s story, looking at everything from the State’s tyrannical persecution of journalism, the hidden atrocities and war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan, Trump and Hillary Clinton’s role in all this, and much more. Overwhelmingly, this is a crisis of freedom of speech, freedom of information, freedom of journalism, and is a textbook example of the ongoing battle between the rights of the State against the rights of the Individual (in this case, a hero, Julian Assange).

They discuss many of the things wrong with elections in Australia: from compulsory voting (and the harms it creates), to tax-payer election funding, to the ways the major parties (Liberal and Labor) manipulate legislation and regulations to choke out minor parties, and much more.

They also talk about how the media is used by major parties, and how disingenuous politics can be, especially when it comes to preferences, group voting tickets, and back-room deals between big party players. Overall, an in-depth discussion about how democracy really works in Australia, and how the average person can start to fix this rotten system.

Pietro and Max take a look at the Vladimir Putin interview with Tucker Carlson, and break down the nuts and bolts of what was noteworthy about the circumstances and what Putin said. All of this is obviously against the backdrop of the horrific war between Ukraine and Russia which has been raging since 2022, where the Western Media has been fawning over Zelenskyy, propagandising the West on why it is absolutely vital we need to pay for the war.

They discuss many of the intricacies mentioned in the interview, including the Nordstream Pipeline, the assurances from NATO, the missiles shot in Poland, the long-standing animosity between Putin and the CIA, and much more.

The two also take a look at Dave Smith, libertarian inspiration for the show, and his dismantling of Robert F. Kennedy Junior’s campaign, by debating him on the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. Finally, the two look at a short clip of Joe Biden which continues to highlight his cognitive decline.

Chrysten tells the story of her journey into libertarianism and discusses some of the policies the party will be pushing for Dunkley, including removing Fuel Excise Tax, Alcohol Tax, and lowering Income Tax.

Chrysten also discusses how the seat of Dunkley is set to be hotly contested among the major parties, with both Peter Dutton and Anthony Albanese having made the trip down to campaign for the Liberal and Labor candidates.

Another educational episode in the series of “Everything Wrong with…” Pietro and Max tackle Democracy and its many shortfalls.

They discuss many of the problems with Democracy, many of the ways it infringes on individual rights and libertarian philosophy.
