#465: What's With Women and 'Backup Partners'?

After a video of a woman advising women to use contraceptives to deter men from infidelity goes viral, a recent problem re-emerges. There's a wave of women on TikTok giving tactics on bagging and retaining men as well as deterring them from infidelity. 

The tactics range from weird to downright devious and evil yet most of these troubles could be avoided with a bit of TLC. 
Which kind? Let me tell you...

Having a positive mindset on marriage has been easy (for the most part) and there hasn't been much that's been beyond debatable... until recently. A tweet which sparked stories far and wide among Kenyans re-ignited the marriage debate, this time with some married men speaking against it using experience.

After a bit of observation and a deep dive using the Instagram algorithm, I realized that there's been an uptick in young men's interest in older women (cougars) that felt unexplained. 
Then I saw some stats and did some soul-searching. I think I might have just figured it all out...

It's an episode on Double D's as we bring the topic of dates up and say what needs to be said with our chest (pun intended). Things start with a new story which utilizes an old rumour before it turns to deliberating whether being a good planner can make you seem like a good boyfriend. 

Eventually, we switch gears to the topic of dates today and why going on them is so appalling. Women today do have genuine problems with this, but so do men. I try to look at both sides and see if there's a nice middle ground there somewhere...
